then i go to cosmos options xD is displayed in the chat window, and keeps repeating itself until i exit cosmos options

I am having the exact same problem.
I installed the Alpha for the first time today (using the auto installer). Then launced WoW, and hit escape to configure my options. Right away when I select to configure Cosmos (without any additional configuration or changes made to the default) my chat window starts to log xD once per line, and at a very fast pace (when a real message actually gets sent, it scrolls by very fast because xD keeps repeating).

Again, fresh install, default config, nothing unique about the way I had it set up.

quick fix; search the cosmos sources for the string "xD" (including quotes). IIRC it was in <Clock.lau>. comment out that line with "--" like this:
