Cosmos ate my shields :(

Greetings,

I have been using your wonderful tool for about 2 weeks now with no problems. A few days ago my shield disappeared from my pack. I have done bonehead things before so I decided I had most likely sold it by accident. Today I was out hunting, like ya do, using cosmos to quickly change weapon loadouts as I varied my stances (I am a warrior obviously). I was mostly using my two-hander and my dual wield swords during the day. At one point I decided to equip my shield and test defensive stance against the mobs I had been hunting but I was unable to find my shield in my pack. I had it a few hours before when I left town because I made a point of equiping it in order to 'train' cosmos for my defensive stance loadout. I know I didn't sell it because I had not returned to town since then.
The only thing I can think of is some kind of bug related to death? I did die one time during the hunt and I have no idea if I had the shield before and/or after dying. I really can't afford to test this bug since the loss of two shields in 3 days is pretty difficult for a lone 26th level warrior to handle.

The bug you are talking about can probably be attributed to either the Mage Hand (which is a Cosmos module that auto-sorts your inventory for you) or the equip code.

In any case, the reason why the items "disappear" is most likely that they end up in the ammo pouch, and when you log out/crash any non-ammo item in that bag gets destroyed.

My question to you then becomes : are you using the /equip command, the Mage Hand part of Cosmos, both features or neither one?

Ahhhh, I am using the autoequip function. I have it enabled in the configuration window. I am not using /equip but rather I have the autoequip per stance enabled. I do have a quiver for my arrows so that must be it. Thanks so much. I will have to remember to check my quiver prior to each logout.
