Howdy ^_^ first time poster, very first post.

I was just wondering.... do you guys have a SIMPLE SIMPLE version that you could release?

Like Cosmos light?

a few extra button bars, dps/mps/hps

I really dont want all the other fancy smancy stuff. Maybe i am just wierd or something. I just think that an "our tool does everything" attitude is somehow trying to do too much. *shrug* just a suggestion... one of the main reasons for not getting cosmos is ... theres just too much going on, and i really dont need all that extra codeing to play.

Thanks ^_^

You mean something like Cosmos Lite (http://www.cosmosui.org/cosmos/Cosmos_Lite_Alpha.zip) ? (link is probably not working at the moment)

In the end, Cosmos is only an aide for AddOn developers - doing stuff with Cosmos is a dang sight easier than doing all the hard work over and over again. This means, that aside from the "core AddOns" (which are probably Cosmos, CosmosSchedule and Thottbot) you don't need anything to run Cosmos. The reason most people think that Cosmos is bloated is because by default, Cosmos comes with a whole hog of extra AddOns, often coded by other people than the ones coding the core AddOns.

Currently, there are some issues with AddOns being enabled and doing stuff by default - one of my personal aims is to disable this in the release version, at least (Alpha should really be for those that want the cutting edge).

Anyhow... I'd recommend that you simply start moving out undesirable AddOns from the AddOns directory. If Cosmos stops working, just move some back and see what works and what doesn't. Just don't re-run the patcher as that will add back stuff.

To disable an AddOn permanently (even with patching) do this:
Go into that AddOn directory (in Interface\AddOns) Edit the .toc file and remove everything in it Create a new file called *.toc.nopatch (replace the * with the name of the .toc file in the directory). Presto! You're done!
