Issues Installing UIs

I am trying to install any custom UI atm weither it be cosmos or Nurfed but I cant seem to get them to work. I assumed that I would install the UI to the interface directory which I did. I think ran the cosmos patcher, and ran WoW through that. I get into the game and I still have the same Old UI up. I dont have any of the cosmo specific stuff up.

So I thought ok I need to install to the general WoW folder, I do that, and upon updating and entering the game I can not move or hit <enter> to chat or anything. The only thing I can do is move my mouse around. This happens if I use cosmos or nurfed installing to the WoW main directory. The only way for me to fix it is by deleting the file that were placed there.

Now my question is...what is my n00b as$ doing wrong? I swear I have never had this much trouble installing something like this before. Could someone tell me step by step what I do to actually install either of the UIs? And if I am installing the UIs correctly what is causeing them not to work. I have even tried /console reloadui but that didnt work either.

Please any help is appreciated.

Please use the Patcher and set it up for Alpha distribution. Before doing this, delete or rename your Interface directory.

Ok i did that, deleted the interface folder, configured the updater ect. I get into game and the cosmo UI is there, but I cant move, none of my keys are bound, all i can do is move my mouse, thats it. What Did i do wrong? this is the same problem i keep haveing over and over

OK. Try renaming your WTF directory (and create a new one) and move all files in the WDB directory elsewhere.

If that doesn't work, come back here and I'll try to think of something.

And still the same thing happens. When I get in game the UI is there but i cant move, my keyboard does not function, only my mouse works. I can click on the UI but cant move. please help :(

WEll, I dont got a freaking clue what I did. I installed as usual, extracting into WoW folder ect, then running cosmos. It didnt work, my keyboard woudlnt work. So then Instead of just deleteing the files manually from the WoW folder, I used the Cosmos uninstall. When I did that and logged back into WoW, Its working perfectly. Everything is working, I can move rebind keys ect ect. My keyboard works now. I got no freakin clue what it started to work when I said uninstall...makes no sense.

I'll just suggest people to do that instead in addition to the other stuff, I guess. :)
