I have the newest cosmos alpha installed, did it last night.
Whenever I view the world map I can no longer mouse over party member icons to see there names. This is a big deal, the notes are great, but the current locations of party members is more important. Is this going to be fixed? or is it just a problem I am having.
Can I just remove the map note feature until it gets fixed?
Everything else seems to be working, and this is a great mod.
Does it work without Map Notes / Cosmos / other UI mods?

Make a copy of your SavedVariables.lua in "World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\-Accounname-" to make sure you don't loose your notes, when starting WoW without having a mod, that registers the variables...

yes, the default WoW inferface allows you to mouse over the party member icons to see there names.

Then the next question: Which mods are you using?
Looking at your post here (http://www.cosmosui.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=714) answered the question. You are using Carto+, so I can't help... and I also have no idea, why it shouldn't work. Do you have other mod's (beside Cosmos) installed?

Having the same issue with the map where you don't get mouseover names. Only using Cosmos Alpha patched as of last night. No other add-ons.
Edit: Oh and using the option to keep the directory clean too by the way.

What I did was download the file
http://www.cosmosui.org/cosmos/Cosmos_Alpha.zip
Unzip it to C:/temp and run the cosmos***** program.
I selected the option ALPHA: Cosmos (SVN Mirror) in the configure page, and updated files.
Beyond that I have made no other changes to the WoW install.
Im having the same problem. Its the only mod i have installed. Im running the current beta version.

Whatever phenomena swept though the UI now forcing guild tags to be displayed for every tooltip is also affecting the party member map dots (test it out) and since the guild funny business started exactly when the playername tooltips drop out, I blame it on whatever patch/fix occured server/client side around that time :)
Hopefully this should be fixed after the patch.
<grumble>
No fixes pushed since 14th... <grumble>

None of the ideas expressed above are actually mine. They are told to me by Luthor and Ferdinand, the five inch tall space aliens who live under my desk. In return for these ideas, I have given them permission to eat any dust bunnies they may find under there.
