Greetings!

This AddOn gives you the ability to show a new little window with buttons that mimics the behaviour of your main hand and off hand. This makes it faster to switch weapons (since you can drag the window into position).
Now it can also mimic your ranged/ammo slots and your trinkets - just one (or two) right-clicks away!

Try it out here:
http://www.fukt.bth.se/~k/wow/scripts/WeaponButtons/

Screenshot:
http://www.fukt.bth.se/~k/wow/scripts/WeaponButtons/WeaponButtons_ScreenShot.jpg

Note that you have to enable it first, using either the Cosmos options (if available) or the command:
/weaponbutton show

You can also make it not pop up tooltips by using the Cosmos options or the commands:
/weaponbuttons tooltips

Right-clicking the WeaponButton window (NOT the buttons) will toggle between the modes.
You can also use :
/weaponbuttons togglemode

Version History:
0.12 - fixed PopNUI stuff and interface number
0.11 - added a cycle keybinding and PopNUI / TransNUI compatibility
0.10 - added trinkets
0.09 - added ranged / ammo to the WB - right click it to toggle
0.08 - fixed a small bug with the command line based interface and added WeaponButtons to Cosmos
0.07 - fixed bugs and added One Command To Rule Them All - /weaponbutton (or /weaponbuttons, or /wb)
0.06 - introduced some bugs
0.05 - fixed so that it didn't spam chat anymore when it is registered with Cosmos
0.04 - made it scale with the rest of the GUI (thanks Blayloc!)
0.03 - removed reset command (didn't work) and fixed the chat message of display tooltip - you may need to re-enable WeaponButtons after you've downloaded this version
0.02 - added reset button for position and added toggling of the tooltips

This is great for my warrior, i only wish the WoW interface would have the ability to 'lock' certain hands.

I usually use 2 weapons, but when i do put on a shield, it's a shame i can't just right click the offhand weapon and force it to go to the 2nd hand (it's a 'one hand' weapon actually, but i use it in offhand).

It always overrides the main, i suppose the logic says "Try Main first if not offhand weapon or something"

at least with this I don't need to open up my entire character window each time. Great idea :)

Now if you had one for Trinkets.......

Making the same type of window for trinkets would be rather easy.

Sarf, what if you Paged the bar? You know, like with two or three pages, each holding a different weapon confiiguration, so that people could just set up various weapon configs, and swap between them via Hotkey.

Possible, but leads to many issues, including : problems with interaction regarding items, "too good" and "already done in other AddOns" (though the last part is only partly true as there are a mod that does that, but nonfunctional at the moment).

I love this add-on .. but I have a problem using it ..

I am a rouge. I just had 2 nice daggers made for me.

I also use a sword, and a mace.

I'd love to switch out my main had, to either the mace, or one of the daggers.

But, since I have 2 daggers, that are exactly the same, when I drag one to a button, it puts a icon there, with a 2 on it. This means, I can't just click on the dagger icon, in the actions, or cosmos bars, to have it go into my main hand (the 2nd dagger is always in my off hand anyway). If I already have a dagger in my main hand, it works perfectly, to click on the Mace, or sword, to put it in my main hand, instead of a dagger.

I don't think this can be fixed .. I just wanted to point it out, to people that duel weld, and end up with two of the same weapon.

There are ways around this, but no easy ones.

Yea, I saw that you can create scripts/macro's for switching stuff, but had to make sure that specific spots, in specific bags were open.

I'm not going to worry about it that much .. I'll just get a different dagger, for one of my hands. Then, it isn't a problem.

I was more just posting, to let people know of the situation .. maybe it will save you guys from having to do some typing 8)

Thanks for the reply !!

I am wondering if this can be used as a stand alone add on, or does it require cosmos to work?

It is stand-alone capable.

An error? Impossible! My modem is error correcting.

Not really, I'm afraid.

The thing is, the "equip on click" is Blizzard functionality at work, and we can't do much with it.

is this using hotbutton IDs sarf, or copying the actual inventory slots to a new window freeing up hotbutton slots?

Copying the slot buttons - no action buttons are involved.
