My entire group on Teamspeak installed the latest version of cosmos last night and several members started getting dropped from the server every few minutes, including me. Whenever someone got dropped the rest of us would lag really bad for a few seconds. I disable the quest share and cosmos chat options and no longer got dropped from the server. One other person in my group that was getting dropped repeatadly (10 times over 30 minutes) uninstalled cosmos and no longer got dropped from the server.

We all updated using the svn mirror option in the installer.

I have the same problem and I had to deinstall Cosmos (got it with the installer, Alpha version) to play. Any hints??
Tnx!!!

This is caused by chat messages being queued up and released when you interact with (enter / leave) instances.

Our learned gnomes are looking at this.

"Nonsense. You're only saying that because no one ever has."

Well, that was the only crash bug I was aware of.

Escalating this topic.

We werent CTD or anything, it would just pop back to the login screen and say "Disconnected from server". It has to be tied in with the way that cosmos is passing around info... I dont know though.

I havent been dropped like that since i turned off quest share and cosmos chat channel functionality.

hum i dont know if theres anything about this bug. but lots of ppl said to me that teamspeak and wow doont work together...
if u use teamspeak its almost impossible to play.
maybe thats why u are getting dc.

we have been playing WoW for months with TS, no problems. As soon as we installed cosmos, dropped from server repeatdly, uninstall cosmos, no longer dropped from server every few minutes.

Any news about this problem? I can add that some of my guildmates have the same trouble, getting random "Disconnected from the Server" messages. It looks like that you can play hours and suddenly you start to disconnect from the server. You can solve this by removing Cosmos or just waiting some time...
Tnx!!

We are working on it.

The basic issue is that if the player sends too many messages, he or she will be dropped. A temporary solution is therefore to disable the chat channel functionality of Cosmos.

The QuestShare (among other AddOns) uses this to transmit information.

Kind of hard to not use it, in that AddOn.

Yes, two people was using cosmos in our instance group of 5 people and I was getting dropped every minutes. Once a popup window appeared and told me the UI is uning more than 32MB of memory and i shall exit. After a few disconnections I uninstalled cosmos and returned to the party, I saw messages in my party channel (7) like this:
"<QS2> QSREQUEST _=Quest Share v2=_ ...."
"<QS2> QINFO ..."

If I leave my party channel is the problem solved? (Can i even leave my party channel? :))
Or should i leave the Cosmos channel?

You should disable Cosmos from using the party channel, as Cosmos is error-correcting and will - if you leave that channel without telling the code that you want to leave it - automatically rejoin the channel.

However, there's a problem with instances and Cosmos in general too (the UI complaining about > 32 mb) and we're working with this.

I figured out a temp solution, all party members using cosmos should disable in cosmos options the questshare option.

My wife and I are having this problem, too. If we're grouped, one of us will crash out of the game. When we log back in, the other one crashes. Disabling questshare this morning seemed to fix it for the 5 mins we were able to test.

My drop bug seems a little worse than this. If I start WoW through Cosmos at all, I immediately get dropped from WoW now (at first it was whenever the character screen was up); even with the Interface directory deleted
