Hello i've been playing Open Beta and i just found out about cosmos and i'd like to use it but i asked my friends if they use it and they said ppl have been banned for using it ... is this true? Can they know if you are using cosmos, and if so will i be banned?

It's not true.

Cosmos is a legal WoW mod. Heck, it should be 'legal' for retail too.
