Self cast incompatible with Priest Dispel Magic

Is it possible to make this very useful priest spell work with self cast. I think self casting is one of the greatest features of cosmos in that it eliminates a TON of mouse clicks when you learn to use it correctly. However, because of the nature of dispel magic in that it can be cast both on a friendly and enemy target, it is incompatible with self cast. When self cast is in effect it cannot be cast upon the enemy. Because I need access to this spell I'm forced to not use the self cast feature at all, and I have found no way to work around this problem.
