First off, Cosmos is great. So many awesome features in here to use.
I have some questions though and I really hope they have not been answered before, I scanned through the forums and did not see them asked.
1- Programming scares me when it comes to stuff like this and lots of people are asking about macros concerning scripts etc. Is there somewhere that you can reccommend to read up on this sort of stuff? I would assume reading up on XML would be a start, but then all these scripts that people use for macros, where are people getting this kind of information from? How do you know that "TargetNearestNPC()" is the actual function Blizzard uses so that you can go and use that? I have programming experience but absolutely none in XML. Thanks
2- I started off using GypsyMod. Frankly Cosmos had so many features it scared me off. Then I tried Cosmos and noticed that I only use 4-5 features of it. Am I able to just go in and delete the other feature folders right out of the Interface\AddOns folder? Or would that cause problems when running the game?
3- There are some features of GypsyMod that I love that I don't see in Cosmos. One is the new player window where it shows your typical window plus on the right side of the bars it shows health in number format, mana in number format, experience in XXX/YYY (+rested) format. And maybe some other things.
I tried just copying this folder from GypsyMod into the interface folder with everything from Cosmos, but it looks to be some clashing. Any ways to get around this?
4- More of a Non Cosmos question but I know you guys would know. What files in WoW store my settings? Such as keybindings, window placements etc.? Say I use Cosmos, move windows that aren't normally supposed to be able to be moved and then delete Cosmos, the windows will still stay where they were moved, correct? Now say I want to uninstall WoW but want to save my files of window placement/key binding and whatever else I missed so that I don't need to go through that garbage again when I reintall. What files do I need to keep?
Thanks for your help.
