Lag, so much lag i cant even log into Ogrim

Ok with Cosmos installed I cant even log into Ogrim where i logged my char at.


I have deleted almost everything i could think of to delete. to try to help the lag. I get lots of fps lag when flying into main cities as well.


Could someone tell me what folder i need to keep if i only want these following options

Right Side Bar
The 2 Bottom bars
The TackleBox
Quest Share
Quest Minion
Buff changes, I would like my buffs at the top right to have the time remaining below them, and my DA buff for my shaman that shows right above the chat window
And the options to put notes on my map

Thats all i can think of :)


I was able to log in, after i removed cosmos from the Interface folder

To keep those you need to keep:

Cosmos
CosmosSchedule
CartoPlus (or MapNotes)
SideBar
PopBar
QuestMinion
QuestShare
MooBuffMod
ItemBuff

However, it is likely that it is QuestMinion that causes the issues. Disabling it should prevent it from doing that though.

Ok i have only added the folders listed above, but also added QuickLoot, and TackleBox

Im able to login etc. The right and left bars show up, as do the bottom bars, but I do not have the Cosmos Icon on the mini map so i can config it. And I can not type anything, i cant do /quit etc...

When I hit Esc it says Cosmos is outdated.

Any suggestions? Is there a couple lines of code that I need to change to keep cosmos from checking to see if its the right version?

Ok think I got it

After reading another post, I added in the Sea folder and everything seems to work now :)

Will Cosmos keep checking to see if its the most current version?


Anyway to stop that?

Yes, it will update itself if you let it.

Either do not run the Cosmos***** OR follow the instructions in this file:
http://www.fukt.bth.se/~k/wow/stuff/howto-disable-Cosmos-AddOns.txt

Do that for every AddOn that you want to disable.
