Not to be a dick, but if you want help you should use proper english.
An example would be: "If I want to install the XP addon, for example, are there any tips I should know? Where do I put the files?"
Just a little bit of consideration for the English language (and like more seconds of typing) can vastly improve forums all over the Internet. BE the change you want to see on the Internet!
In your WoW directory, go to Interface, go to AddOns. Place the directory of the addon into that directory. "\WoW\Interface\AddOns\XPAddon\" for example

The sad thing is that these days it's hard to tell the difference between someone struggling with English as a second language (very commendable) and a lazy English speaker.

Why would anyone use proper english online...Lol kinda funny even my english teacher today was talking about typing online and says she doesn't even use proper english online
the people who don't know slang online or what we call noobs can fuck off
What i mean by slang is like abbreviation     :(
-lets put a few seconds into are typing so some dumbass can see a ????? or a ......
The reason for using proper English online is the same as for anywhere - to be understood.
If I were to write English with Swedish word sprinkled throughout my ramblings, it would be harder for people to understand.
It really is that simple - if you want to people to understand you, take a little time when you write.
Note that in *some* Internet media, taking care of spelling can be a bit hard (instant messaging, IRC and so on) but whenever you post stuff on a forum, it's likely to be there for a while, so it's only fair that you take a bit of time to polish it up, eh? :)

Actually, the need for you to use proper english is that we CAN understand what you need.
In any language, the WAY you say it makes all the difference. We would like to help you, but if we dont understand what you are trying to accomplish, we cant help, correct?

lol .... english is my first language and i can sprinkle spanish all over.... but i still understood what he was saying he needs help installing files in the right place... get off your horse and fuck it in ass cuase ur a dick for telling the guy that he needs to talk proper! i dont see anyone giving him an F and saying u cant post anymore.... lol
I never tried to say he couldn't post. I only said (and I still hold to this) that people will be MUCH more helpful if they understand what you're saying.
This does not mean :
Dis heir dewd dosno lajk toe prisum 2 unnerstod wat e sajd sow lajk ajm gunner diss wat his sayin coss aj kan
Now, if you are gifted with a supernatural power of understanding the intent of what people says, more power to you, but I am personally not equipped with that superpower.
My reasons for asking him to use a more... standard... subset of English was so that I could understand him, not so that he would have to waste his time on me.
That's your choice, you see - you can write to express yourself, and you can write to be understood by the reader. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Please note that rappo answered his question (after a few comments).

Yeah... And I do not see anyone helping him out with his/her problem either...
But gosh-golly-wow, I am just speaking plain old American version of proper English. So I do not expect to be understood at all.
...FWIW... English grammar has fallen by the wayside, according to several research groups. Primarily due to the effect the "net" and chat rooms have on people already made fat and lazy by that technological wonder called.........
Television.
Now I too, am not helping the poor illiterates amongst you solve Maverickk's problem. But man-o-man am I enjoying the anonymity of "GUEST" status in my rambling.

This is a relatively technical forum, where people are constantly asking for help with things that can be pretty difficult depending on their level of expertise. Writing a well thought out question is often the first step towards getting that question answered. If you don't have enough respect for the people answering your question to take the time to get your point across clearly why should anyone help you? You even screwed up the subject of your post, yea I understood what you meant but it took an extra second and then a second more as I marveled at how unbelievably childish the post is.
lol!1 wtf ru takling about n00b this is the interweb, their r no rulzor1@1

AMEN to the last sentence..!
Infact, I urge everyone that needs help to read the entire quote from Anonymous... Not just my edited snippet.
To that end... How do you install these MODs, ermm... CAO (cows?)?
I would presume that they are downloaded and/or unzipped into the respective folders in the WoW/addons/etc... But what then of documentation for these CAO's (is it realy pronounced cows?)?
My personal thing is to make my own documentation as I learn what something does... Then, at least in my own mind, I won't be as lost as I was when first starting.... (I am rambling again huh?)
Okay, nuff said.... Happy Holidays and a very non-pc MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D
I package most of MY addons so that you just unpack them into your WoW directory (with "keep paths" enabled).
However, that's just for my AddOns. Some package them so that you have to extract them into Interface\AddOns\, others into Interface\AddOns\<TheirAddOnName>\, still others Interface\... you see, what you need to do is to understand where the files should end up.
Open up the packaged files.
If there's a .toc file immediately there, you need to unpack them into Interface\AddOns\<TheirAddOnName>\, if there's a "<TheirAddOnName>\" directly in the package, it should go into Interface\AddOns\... basically, get a feel for where the files should end up.

Sarf,
Thank you for sharing and providing us with these wonderful Add-Ons and all.
For everyone. This forum is majority English so lets keep it as it is. English is highly used around the world anyway there's no arguement about that.
For posting proper English which means anyone will be able to read and understand especially here when others might have the very same questions and issues that needed supports.
For proper English also make you more intelligent even though if you are young, old or races.
Lets not flame others just because they can't type or know the proper english (but it helps). Cosmos is a Lifesaver WOW Add-Ons and it's FREE! Remember that!
