So I was looking through all the custom addons, very cool stuff in there. I saw one addon that keeps a local database of everything you've seen. You can search this db with an ingame interface. Can't remember where I saw this addon, may not have been here...
Anyway, here's my suggestion. As you loot and sell stuff to vendors, record the amount of coin you got from items to some sort of local database. Then when you hover over items to view stats, put the amount of coin that you would get selling to a vendor. If that stat isn't recorded, then leave it blank, or <unknown> or whatever.
The reason I like this is because I constantly fill my inventory with stuff. Then as I keep killing I want to replace the cheap crap with the better stuff, but I can't possibly remember what sells the best...
