Capture MiniMap Output to larger map image?

Is it possible to capture what you see in the minimap and paste it into a larger map file that you can view?

ie similar to the way the minimap worked in warcraft with fog of war turned on. Where you've been will start to fill in on your map ... would be really useful as the minimap contains much more detailed info. basically you could turn on whether you are "mapping" or not ... perhaps it only works at one zoom level to avoid complications. I'm not too familiar with what is considered an unfair add-on so maybe this is not allowed ... but you only see where you've visited so it's not like you're gaining info ... you're just cataloguing where you've been.

It's not possible to do this as a normal AddOn. However, there are programs that extract the whole Minimap Information out of the WoW mpq's and you get a really nice picture (but I have no URL at the moment).

After you setup the proggy, launch it. it will say prefs error (usually). click no.. Once the program loads, click on the compter icon near the top left.
"Preferences et Options" Under INTERFACE, click ENGLISH.. save, restart, there ya go
