Ok...so I've read a couple posts on here about not wanting to add so many things to cosmos because it's driving people away from using it etc...

Here's my suggestion to remedy this:

First, just make a really basic cosmos distro (I think this already is there or being worked on).

Second...add on to the website, put some sections for addons...with documentation, screenshots, etc...of each addon, and a download area that has the latest version of the addon...and a nice FAQ on how to install addons...or make self-installers for them...

This would successfully make cosmos very lite...and for those of us that love to have everything in it...we can do that too.

Second option for this whole thing would be to re-vamp the cosmos***** to allow you to select individual addons that you want to have installed/updated with cosmos when you run the app...if you need help with that I'm a VB developer and I could probably work something out for it...

Just my 2cp worth...and just for the record, i LOVE cosmos, and was extremely lost after the patch when it didn't work...i went in and manually patched the files myself to get the basics working again ;o)

Blizzard is making a UI, so that you can choos prior to game lunch what AddOns should be loaded and which not. This will be up in the next patch and will make things a lot easier, because you can download all the AddOns and simply choose not to run them. (It's in the stickies on the official forums).
