I'd like to use certain parts of CosmosUI but I don't want to see the whole thing (or even have it all loaded for that matter). Or can you remove certain parts already?

Remove the parts you don't want. They are all in separate folders.

Just be careful not to remove parts which are dependencies for other modules. For example, many components will use the Sea libraries. Other than that, just delete away (or move to somewhere else in case you make a mistake)

If you delete a folder, then patch, it will put it back.
To disable a mod from being loaded, go into the mods folder and change the .toc files # to 1. This will keep it from being loaded when WoW runs.
To keep the patcher from fixing the file, create a new file. EX: MapNotes.toc create a file called MapNotes.toc.nopatch
This just needs to be an empty file in the same location as the other one. It will work for any of the files. So if you change Sidebars.xml then you can create a sidebars.xml.nopatch file.
