Make an addon where you can... *dramatic pause*

Search Thottbot from INSIDE WoW!! That would be amazing!!!

BTW, I'd like a response on the probability of this getting created. If it's even possible, i'll offer my assistance with anything needed. Lata!

Blizzard does not allow for AddOns to interact with outside programs. It violates their TOS.

Conceivably, you could code an entire web browser inside an AddOn, but that would be huge and probably cause tons of lag problems.

Sure about that?? Many things can be done if you are determined enough ;) If you get determined enough to do this, you will be in bannable offense territory.

Not to be too sarcastic.. but you know what would be cooler? Searching! yeah..

This type of suggestion comes up a couple times a week.. and it's just plain not possible.. not in the "we don't want to spend that much time on" but in the "Blizzard developed the API, and it just doesn't exist" way...

We're not talking about the software development world where yes, anything is possible, but in a finite, well controlled world where Blizzard makes the rules and Blizzard says No Way Jose!

Many ideas, while very cool, open up enormous security holes. Giving WoW the ability to navigate webpages, read and write data from anywhere, leave us, the users, at the mercy of potentially extremely dangerous activity. Blizzard, and rightfully so, doesn't want to deal with 10,000 angry users who just got information stolen, or systems damaged, because of a malicous UI mod.
