Valid Census update?

I use cosmos***** to keep my cosmos directory up to date.

Last night, someone named cooper98 made modifications to the Census code with a description "added files remotely".

Is this a valid update? I disabled the addon in my client when I didn't recognize the contributor and couldn't find him/her on the team page...
