 I used to have cosmos and it was great. But since the patch I have been trying to reload it and it will never work. I always get this error.
"Interface\Addons\Chronos\Chronos.lau"]:
546: attempt to call local 'func' (a nil value)
What should I do?

Make sure you delete the Interface folder before installing a new update.

I would not recommend the alpha. It has some serious chat channel bugs and is basically unusable right now.

The Alpha is quite usuable - users with chat issues should see the sticky thread at the top of this forum.

I installed the version off the new PC gamer DVD (not sure what version it is, probably latest) but i had already installed the V1.2.4 patch for WoW. Now when i look in the add-ons bit in the char. list it says that all my addons arent version compatible?!? :(
And i did delete the interface folder, still nothing.

Nope sri Sir Bob- magazine discs are probably 3+ months old by the time they hit the shelves. Cosmos is being patched sometimes as often as hourly. When we say you need a recent copy - we mean RECENT. Grab the latest from the site here (http://www.cosmosui.org/cosmos), delete your interface folder and try again.

I get the exact same problem.
I'm trying to run thottbot only, and I do not wish to delete my other (not cosmos-related) addons just to get that one working.

Make sure you delete the interface folder between installs - it's the only way to get a clean installation. Mixing versions is not good lol

As I posted in another place. I have cleared everything before each attmpt to install the updates. Still no dice. It is still doing same thing. Not haveing comos make me want to stop playing.....I don't but it is not as fun.
Thx COMOS!!!!!!

The only other thing I can think of is to try deleting the WTB and WTF folders along with the interface folder. Could be something corrupt in one of the files in there.

Obviously what's corrupt here is the Chronos.lua file, so there should be no need to delete any WDB or WTF folders.

Actually not necessarily, I had a mod that could generate an error in Chronos.lua, the problem was that Chronos.afterInit was called improperly within the mod itself, it passed something that wasn't a function and that was generating the error. So while it says theres an error in Chronos.lua that doesn't necessarily mean the problem started there ;)

This issue is still there.

Are you sure all your addons are enabled on the Addons window at the character login screen - perhaps you have something disabled that is causing this issue.
If there was a problem with that file, hundreds if not thousands of people would have the same problem and they don't.

I have tried loading ONLY the addons required, (Chronos, Sea, Thottbot) and no others, as suggested before, I tried moving what was in my WTF folder.
This problem does indeed come from Chronos, quite obviously.
Also, there are quite a few others who have posted about this issue, so it's not uncommon.

Or, how about you read the actual problem, since I found no solution whatsoever in there.
Furthermore, on this issue, I noticed that Sky AND Cosmos is required to be loaded, else this error will appear. Why is it that those are not in Chronos list of required addons?
And why then aren't they included in the thottbot only release?
