Leaving and joining channels with cosmos installed is recipe for disaster under the current Alpha miror (as of this posting).
ALL channels you join with cosmos installed now try to join as channel #1. This totally screws the channel list permanently. There is nothing you can do to fix it without uninstalling Cosmos, reseting your entire UI, and starting all over again from scratch. Here's how you do that:

Rename Interface to Interface-bad
Rename WDB to WDB-bad
Rename WTF to WTF-bad
Run WoW (wow***** directly, NO cosmos or other UI patcher launch)
log in to the char with the screwed up chat (in a zone with a trade chan)
/leave 1
/leave 2
/leave 3
/leave 4
/leave 5
/leave General
/leave Trade
/leave LookingForGroup
/leave WorldDefense
/leave LocalDefense
[channel names are case-sensitive for the second set of leaves]
/join General
/join Trade
/join LookingForDefense
/join WorldDefense
/join LocalDefense
From here, you should be OK to /exit and then install cosmos again from scratch -- and redo your entire configuration for all your characters all over again. If /chatlist isn't correct, keep leaving and joining until it is. Make sure your /chatlist is correct BEFORE you install Cosmos. After you install cosmos again, do NOT /join or /leave or you will have the problems all over again and need to reset everything all over again.
Not sure about the rest of y'all, but I don't like going through 3H of configuration hell over (yet another) Cosmos chat bug.

BTW, on that note, is there some way we can REMOVE all Sky and other cosmos chat functionality? I don't want my mods talking to other mods EVER under any circumstances for any reason. I also don't want to call a GM and have him tell me "I'm sorry, we can't help any Cosmos users." That's a direct quote. I asked "Is this official blizard policy?" and the response was "yes". The GM also recommended not using Cosmos and using any other mod instead due to all the bugs in Cosmos. It seems they get a lot of petitions from Cosmos users and don't want to deal with any of them.
Sounds like pots and kettles, to me, but there is a grain of truth in the chat issues. Cosmos = buggy chat. Always. Whatever y'all have done to the chat doesn't work and continues not to work. And, I think that's always how it will be.
So, considering that cosmos adds zero chat enhancements right now, could we just leave chat totally alone or at least have any chat enchancements not contain dependencies for other modules? That way I can just check "disable Sky" permanently and never worry about y'all borking all my chat channels every other patch.
