View Full Version : I'm disconnected when trying to log in..

I've been playing for some time now without any problems.. I've install the Cosmos mod, and all seems to be fine. But i recently was doing a quest, and an error pops up.. in my quest menu it says i need more items, but i have them in my bag :? ..
Then I tried uninstalling Cosmos and try logging in again.. Now i was disconnected from server.. After a minor rage I uninstalled WoW and installed it again.. And i got the same "disconnected" when trying to log in.. Can anyone pls help me with this one? :P

i have the same problem only i didnt crash from game i installed cosmos today and cant connect every since ive deleted the interface file as suggested for removeing cosmos but this does nothing and i now cant connect to wow at all.

oh and i downloaded it direct from this site so it should be the lastest version i was using.

I didn't crash either.. I just logged out and tried uninstalling cosmos mod and then I couldn't connect :(

Um, guys... you do realize it's Tuesday - Maintenance Day - Servers are down till this afternoon.

ok if thats the prob i apologise for wasting time with my posts just its strange the exact second i log out to try this mod is the time the maintance started is all as i downloaded whilst still playing exited game and the restarted it to try the mod out. maybe it just a case of very bad timing :)

As far as I know they only update EU servers in fridays or so..? I guess..

Right, but the US maintenance days are Tuesdays - if you are EU server, well all I can suggest is perhaps delete the WTF and WTB folders as well and see if that changes anything. Perhaps check to make sure others are able to connect to the server so you aren't trying to fix a problem that isn't at your end.

Well the main prob. is that I can't connect to WoW!!.. It runs normally til after the "succes" sign which is totally different from what i is!!!!...

Well if you've cleared Interface, WTF, and WTB, and still can't log in, you're pretty much left with either installation/machine problem - or an account problem. Cosmos is way out of the picture at this point.

You're pretty much down to un-installing WoW - wiping any remaining folder information, and starting clean with a fresh install, and then calling Blizzard CS to resolve some problem with the account.

well my patience ins't that great :)
I've tried uninstalling WoW and then installed it again.. And my mail to blizzard is probably first gonna respond in like 72 hours :( oh dear.. too bad, now with my gaming abstinences :D

ummm u sure it doesnt change anythin else as like i say i logged out of game ran mod tried log back in so cosmos is what screwed up my game nothin else had chance :S

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's it. Cosmos lives in Interface, and stores it's configuration information in WTF - everything else is created by the game itself. Cosmos doesn't interact in such a way as to be capable of "blowing up" or damaging your game.

when i delete the whole lot im able to connect then as soon as i choose a server (any i tried lots) it connects to the server then immediatly dissconnects. my account is still ok i think because is shows the number of charc's i have next to the servers ive used before. But this is starting to really baffle me now :S

I think it's weird that after i uninstalled (deleted the files) cosmos, I couldn't connect...
Aren't there any other with this problem?? please respond and write what you've done :)

ok dont ask me how but i got it working :S
all i did was redelete everythin and then install cosmos again (thinking behind it was check see what files it modified when i reinstalled it) but i can now log in :D ty all for the help

But there's still a problem with that quest menu... hmm...
