Cant rename Cosmos***** when patching

Error: couldn't rename Cosmos*****

i get that after i patch and then the patch doesnt take hold, It just creates a whole nother cosmos***** but it doesnt see it or w/e. I got this error even after i reinstalled WoW and removed cosmos and all that good stuff and I still get it. I never had problem patching until that last patch we had. What should I do?

Delete the ***** and get the latest one from the site. It is trying to rename your ***** to replace it with a newer one. There are a couple of reasons why this could fail, something has locked the file from it being able to rename itself.

that is what I have done multiple times, I kinda thought something locked it but i am not sure how to unlock. I gonna go check the properties of the file right now.

You might delete it and reboot, the operating system may have the file tied up somehow and isn't releasing it. Then download it again.

If all else failes, just use the Alpha.zip, it is as current as the Alpha from the patcher.

done that too. lol i will go download alpha i just hope it doesnt gimmie a messaed up ui that cuases me to crash or something.
