I want back the default chat channels!!!

Hi guys.

Is there a way to get back the old-fashioned channels on the chat?
i mean, 1 for General, 2 for trade, 4 for LFG....

This new Sky channels are horrible, i never know if my msgs goes to the right channel... (where is LFG? and why i can't use /1 to talk in generals?)

I think Cosmos is a great mod, but, please, don't go too far, sometimes improving what you have is the best way to have success. Many people does not want Sky, they just want to be able to activete/deactivate some features in their installation..... i think Sky is too much "invasive", starting from that big S under our portrait.

Sky is an expanded communication function that has always been in cosmos in some form. Sky issues are being looked at and there have been a string of recent changes that improve things. So update often.

When running properly, sky does not restrict you from talking, nor force you to have fixed channel numbers. The patch notes (cosmos.txt) in your world of worcraft folder explain how to do this. The are many cosmos installations running sky without these problems.

Sky does have trouble getting into synch with the game on channels sometimes. Such symptoms are see but can't send and vise-versa.
The command /chatlist or /chatinfo will show you what sky thinks you are connected to. Try to leave all the channels in that list and then rejoin them. If you have persistant problems, please see the Knowledge forum and read the sticky there on this subject.

wait wait, this is not the point!

I mean, first, before updating Cosmos (i use the release (old)) when i changed area the chat changed accordingly, now i have only two automated channels "gen" and "tra". As far as i know gen is used for General and LFG and tra for Trade...

I'd like to disable this feature, i'd like to keep using my old way, in which there was General,Trade,Local Defense,Looking for group, is there a way?

If not i'll disinstall Cosmos, no problem, i can't live without LFG or local defense channel separated from others.....

I know my english is not as cliear as it should be, i hope i've been able to properly explain the point!!!!!

To tell the truth sky doesen't do that to me. Sometimes I log in with general chat disabled though, and I really would like to know how to stop that from happening :\ Maybe It's another mod screwing with your WoW?

Pal: You can remove the gen and the tra channels with
/remove /gen
/remove /tra

You "should" be auto-joining channels like you used to before.
Again, try typing /chatlist and then leaving all the channels shown there and then re-joining them. If you still have persistant problem there is a sticky thread at the top of the Knowledgebase forum that addresses this.

Be sure to patch often. Many fixes have been made to Sky recently.

My biggest problem with Sky right now (with an up to date version) it that I often can't see any messages in channels such as Trade or LocalDefense until I /leave and then /join the channel.

This seems to happen whenever I log in or change zones.
