View Full Version : Cosmos Quick Fix! - My fix has been fixed... yep...

Yes a fix gets updates... weird eh? Anyways several people reported a problem that unfortunately I had also experienced. I had accidently re-implemented the Roll Safely mod which conflicted with the built in feature which had the same function, resulting in the error of not allowing you to roll on BOP loot. I hope this did not affect too many people and I appologize for the people that have suffered thus. To download a fixed version of my fix... go to the link below or simply remove the Roll Safely folder from your addons folder (World Of Warcraft/Interface/Addons/Roll Safely). Also I'd just like to add that the POI error some people may be getting when the access their maps occasionally is not a byproduct of Cosmos or any other addon to my knowledge. Enjoy!

I have edited the Cosmos Alpha version so that the Sidebars, SecondBar and MooBuffMod are re-implemented and I've also eliminated the Bag error. I was fiddling around and I managed to fix the bug that brought up an error when you opened and then closed the world map. A sideffect of fixing this was now the 'C' icon near the minimap can now once again be selected properly instead of clicking on the side of it. Simarly you can now once again mouse over your HP and MP bars and your stats should be displayed. To download my fix go to http://rapidshare.de/files/1041103/Cosmos_Fixed_V3.zip.html and scroll to the bottom of the page and select 'Free'. On the next page that loads scroll down and wait for the timer to hit zero (usually takes about 70 seconds) and then download it once the link appears. To install my fix just extract the Interface folder over your current one. And all credit for coding goes to the creators of Cosmos!

you should be more specific. as by your own admission you didn't actually FIX the code but rather just commented out the parts which produced errors. while it may get rid of the errors, it would also reduce functionality, which actually fixing the code, wouldn't do.

Reduce what functionality? Without removing the code there was no functionality. But I see what you mean, by removing certain code it is imperitive that some features will be taken out. But luckily the only feature that I've had to remove is the moving the bags over for the rightside bar which was broken in the first place anyways =/

I'm getting this error with this fix:

All I can suggest is simply disabling PopNUI in the addons menu on the character screen.

You can either save over the alpha version or just extract it into an empty Interface folder, it should make no difference.

Oh so it is, I'll give it an hour and if it doesnt fix itself I'll reupload it.

EDIT: The whole of rapidshare is down. I guess you'll have to wait till it comes up... I don't dare host the file on my website as over 2000 people have downloaded it and it'll eat away my bandwidth like there was no tomorrow.

My fix is not affiliated with the official cosmos, if thats what you're asking. But the creator's of Cosmos have given me permission to distribute the fix for now if I'm careful.
