I HATE Blizzards new UI features!

Please, please, PLESE bring back these features......

- second hotbar

- hideable hothar

- sidebars (Blizzards are BOTH on the right side)

- linked hotbars (I loved being able to, with one click, cycle 2 bars)

- buff timers (Blizzards new timers SUCK.....too small, only lists minutes with an "m".....I liked have minutes AND seconds tick off in BIG bold letters)

- ability to move party icons around. Now they are locked with a ton of space between each one. YUCK.


In a nutshell, everything you had was basically BETTER than what Blizzard added. Please bring them back. :cry:

MobileFrames lets you move Party Member Frames. Toggle the Anchors - you should see a white anchor next to each frame - you can now click on that anchor and move them where you want them. When done, toggle the anchors off.

I fully agree. Blizzards implimentation is an utter joke and I feel that Cosmos had it working the first time, so why drop the support now. I would rather turn off the Blizzard features and use Cosmos in it's place.

If Cosmos drops these features, then it's bye, bye Cosmos... and most likely Bye, bye to WoW as well!! :evil:

I really like Blizzard's version of the extra bars and buff timers, but do agree that the Cosmos versions should still be worked on.

Also, a small mod to tweak the new Blizzard features would be nice. Or perhaps do that instead of continue the old mods? (excluding the sidebars, since those are fundamentally different from Bliz's, so they should be continued anyway) That would be simpler, and be able to satisfy everyone. All I really want on the Bliz bars is for them to show the key bindings on the buttons like I had with Cosmos's bars.

The Blizzard implementations really made me appreciate how Cosmos had it. I miss my old sidebars and quest minion.

As far as Blizz'z new UI is concerned, I like the mobile frames and kind of like the quest tracker, but Cosmos had it goin on. Blizz's new bars Suck A$$. I would, like another poster said, turn off all Blizz's feature in order to use a fully functioning Cosmos again!!

These are things that made Cosmos good, Blizzards new things are a load of JUNK

everyone keeps saying blizzards new stuff is junk.. yet they fail to tell why its junk.. is it just becuz there on the right hand side? i really saw know difference in blizzards from cosmos altho i only had cosmos maybe two weeks prior to the patch. SO maybe i didn't have all the options setup for the cosmos bars.. pls explain the difference between the blizzard bars and cosmos bars...

as for me i like blizzards new bars there less cluttered and you have more slots to put abilities in. In cosmos with the left bar on and party windows moved to the right a bit just seemed to off balance the screen. to much on the left hand side... or not enuf on the right hand side.. i felt lopsided with cosmos. But having the extra bars was nice. I'll be sticking with the blizzard bars unless there is some unlivable feature that cosmos had that i must use.

Oh also i like blizzards quest tracker but i liked how quest minion automatically picked up the quest..and you didn't have to select them like you do in the quest tracker... so that somethign i would want if cosmos is just going to mess with blizzards stuff please add a feature that will automatically display quest like the quest minion used to or put quest minion back in.

Well, according to the front page...we are getting the bars back from cosmos. temporarily. They paln on eventually amking Blizz's bar resizable, moveable and who know's what else.

I agree. I dropped Cosmos when I loaded the new patch and found that my lag issues were gone and everything was much crisper and quicker. When I exit the game it used to take my machine several minutes to exit and clean up afterwards and would not be back to normal for a good 5-10 minutes.

Now, with the patch and no Cosmos, when I exit the game it takes maybe 5 seconds before I'm back to Windows and I can immediately start loading other programs.

I don't know if this is due to the new patch or the lack of Cosmos but have decided to switch to CTMod plus standalone mods instead of going back to Cosmos. That combination gives me almost everything I used before and is just as quick and clean as having no mods at all. The only mod that I really miss now is the EasyCast/QuickCast features of TackleBox and the unified Options screen from Cosmos.

I have found Blizzards try hard attempt at what Cosmos was perfecting over time a joke.

They added a timer sure, but as stated above they are fixed in place and seeing as buffs are short in WOW we WANT to know the difference between 2:01 and 2:59...

Active bars ...heh... They pale in comparison to the ones provided by Cosmos.... As a hunter I don't want to be hunting through bars that scroll for the things I need... If I want them on top perminently - I should be able to - Not be confined to what Blizzard wants us to have.

Flexablilty of placement - There is none with blizzards attempt - it bites....

Quest minion ala blizzards version - sucks - Don't let them even attempt to go one better on this - they have some try hard at the other end straining to think of a way to work out what's going to work... Cosmos had a fully functional and USEFUL one already....please bring it back....

Removal of junk provided by cosmos was handy - I just want to know who and what level... the extra info is clunky...

PET Window!~ How HARD is it to keep pets alive when you cant see the pets health bar attached to the player that owns it! My pet has died so many times more because of this ommission from Blizzrd and its such a small thing. Especially when they go and balls up the fact that the priests who res at this time get 10 mins res sickness due to bad coding or whatever!

Mouse scroll on chat ! Why could they not even see the use in that....That is one I am missing a lot from Cosmos.... :roll:

I could go on and on over other handy things that cosmos has that I miss, but not everyone finds the same things of use...

Fact is - COSMOS puts in the effort and hours of research into what players want and find useful... Blizzard seems to be making a token effort to annoy everyone with a very limp effort to immitate other peoples work.

The only thing I am using of Blizz's is their sidebar, and now that Cosmos sidebars are back in Alpha, I won't be using Blizz's any longer.

As with Gnomad, I've never had a real lag difference with or without Cosmos, but you and many other have. I have tried all the other mods, stand alone of full packages and Cosmos is the only one tht felt good. But hee, if it dropped your lag...your one really happy dude and I'm a little jealous...hehe

bump! I miss the linked secondbar and the sidebars a *TON*.

So much in fact, that I've stopped playing my main until I can either get it fixed or switch to another UI.

For me, I use cosmos for:

Sidebars
Secondbars (Linked!!!)
QuestMinion
SelfCast

Then for a few "fluff" items like showing pet health with people I group with.... The two most important things are no longer on the list of options... so I do feel like Cosmos has let me down. I wonder what other features I like and use will be removed in the future, "just because".

Please please please please PLEASE make cosmos work the way it did before the patch!!

The problem here isn't the features of the new Blizzard bars, it is the fact that all of the "new" bars are in fact old. They do NOT add additional slots as the old Cosmos ones did.
