Delete the Interface folder located in your World of Warcraft directory. Then extract the new version to the World of Warcraft folder.

I'm sorry, but this is absolutely not true.

I experimented with Cosmos, and decided it was too cluttered, and just wanted to get rid of it. I tried to delete Interface, WTF and WDB, and relaunch WoW.

Guess what? I have a chunky 3 frames per second!!!

And before people start rabbiting on about how it's my machine or something else, just remember that the only thing that's changed in this scenario was the addition of Cosmos. I've been playing WoW happily with NO PROBLEMS until now.

From my experience, I would advise people as strongly as I can that "if it ain't broke, DON'T fix it...

If you dont have an interface folder then Cosmos wont be loading when you play WoW. All AddOns for WoW are stored in the interface folder, including Comos, if you dont have one then you dont have any AddOns, including Cosmos. The only files that Cosmos installs on your computer are: cosmos***** (It puts this in the WoW directory itself, you have to manually run this for it to do anything, when run it downloads the newest version and uploads data to thottbot.com if you have that turned on) and the AddOns that go into the Interface/AddOn directory.
