I keep reading that people are able to use Cosmos, but for some reason I can't get Cosmos to work for me.
I have done the usuall update/install, DL the new version/alpha, delete Interface folder and unpack contents to WoW directory. For some reason I see no signs of Cosmos anywhere when I fire up WoW.
Any tips would be nice!
Thanks! 8)

Did you check the addons in the Char selection screen ?
What is the status of the addons ?

No I did not check the addons. I never have had a need to. I will do that when I get home, I'm currently at work.
When I do check the addons, what am I looking for? 8)

Any additional information will be helpfull. Addons would be the first place to look at.
Maybe you disabled all (or one of the main) cosmos addons by mistake in previous tests. Reinstallation of the pure Iterface folder won't help, WoW will remember the "disabled" status.
Outdated version: Problem with incorrect downloaded files (version) etc.

You have to use the alpha version currently the release version is not for the 1.3.0 patch, you will stil lget the out of date popup because some fo the addons are not up to date, if you click disable then go into addons (for some reason the UI seems to be disabling random things) click enable all then uncheck any of the ones that say version mismatch and PopNUI you should be good to go.

Thanks, I'll give that a go when I get home.

When I click on Addons it says all of them are out of date? I need help finding the latest cosmos and un-installing the previous cosmos if I have to...

I thought I followed those simple instruction found here yesterday and could not get cosmos to work. I got the mismatch or out of date message on everthing. The last time we had to update the .toc version are we still waiting for it this time? And what will happen when Bliz increases the number of patches in the future.
I appreciate the creative minds that have come up with these great IU's for WOW and are willing to share them with us mod challenged folks for free but to get use to something and lose it is sometime worst than not having it at all. I can not believe that Bliz came up with these action bars that are not as good and not compatible with Cosmos, they had a great model to work with and still got it wrong.
Can someone give us the step by step again for integrating Cosmo and curse back into WOW after this darn patch.
Thanks to you all

Like mentioned for several other problems in the forum: Best solution for most the problems is to install the newest version via the cosmos patcher.
Simply start the Cosmos***** (download area if you don't have it in your "old" download included).
Make sure you made a backup of your wow files before and to have marked the cleanup funktion in the options.
Manualy: Download the newest ALPHA version, delete your present interface folder and copy the new interface folder into your wow folder.
It should solve your Problems on US client. If it does for Europe we will see when the "patchday" (today) is finished

It's nice to see all of my questions answered for me just by reading other peoples missfortunes :)
Thanks cosmos guys for working so hard just to make it that much easier for us to have a good time playing a silly game :)

I download the newest alph, click addons, enabled all, disabled out of date and played. Everything works. Only thing I lost was my map notes, oh well
Thank you everyone, thank you for the help :D

The should be no out of date addons now in the latest Alpha build.
Try deleting your interface folder, and then re-extract the lastest Alpha.
