Sorry Guys, but some of us are just not computer savvy and need "Cosmos for Dummies" Edition and this is what I posted on my Guild Forums:

OK, here is how to fix Cosmos for those of us that just did not UNDERSTAND the stereo instructions being fed to us on Cosmos site:

STEP 1
Click:
START > Accessories > WINDOWS EXPLORER

STEP 2
In Windows Explorer CLICK on the left panel:
MY COMPUTER > C DRIVE (or whatever is your main harddrive) > PROGRAM FILES > WORLD OF WARCRAFT

STEP 3
In the World of Warcraft folder look for the folders marked here with the red arrow:

http://24.26.194.248/images/cosmosfix.gif

RENAME or DELETE the "Interface" and the "WDB" folders. Yes you will have to reset all your settings in game. Cry later after you have jumped for joy because I have helped you fix Cosmos, okay?

Now, Blizzard says if you are having problems with corrput files, crashes, etc to rename or delete the "WTF" file. I suggest you leave this file alone until after you have entered game. THEN if you are still having problems with Cosmos, come back to here and REPEAT ALL STEPS to include RENAMING or DELETING the WTF Folder. Be warned, the WTF folder contains all your account info, so the game will load like you have never played before.

STEP 4
Double click the "Cosmos" exe file.
The Cosmos Patcher will appear. Let it update, then CLICK:
CONFIGURE > CHECKMARK THE BOX "Keep Interface Directory Clean (deletes unused files)"

Now, See the "Select Cosmos Distribution"?
CLICK the pull down menu and choose "Cosmos Alpha (Works!)"

CLICK the "Complete File Check"
When this is done, CLICK > OK

STEP 5
Run WoW now. When you get to character select, click the little button on the bottom left corner "Addons"
Make sure there is NOT a check mark in this box on the upper left corner: "Load out of date addons"
TURN OFF these functions (well, untill the guys at Cosmos get these fixed)
PopNUI
Quest Minion
TransNUI

STEP 6
Now CLICK "Ok" and ENTER GAME!

Disclaimer:
This worked for me and several others. If it does NOT work for you go ahead and BLAME ADRA, but no irate comments to me!!

X-File's post on How to get Cosmos working like before the patch has some GREAT information as well. However, I still had people pulling their hair out trying to fix their Cosmos. Apparently they do not read well or follow direction well... *Adra smacks her kid* I got hugs for my fix X-File *nanny nanny nanny* LOL!

*Adra runs over to grab Telo's sidebars!*

Thanks Millions for that info, I was going nuts without my left side bar hehehe

My WoW crashed like 6 times last night, whats the other drawback in deleting ur WTF folder?

Other than having to reset all your settings in game. Nothing.
Deleting the WTF Folder removes all your Interface settings you initially set the first time you entered the game.

I had an issue a few weeks ago where I had a corrupt file on ONE of my characters only. I could log into any other character, just not this particular one that caused the game to error and crash. I went into the WDB folder and deleted Paige's configuration cache and VIOLA` all fixed, just had to redo her UI :p

Did you install Alpha? That is the one that works.

OOji: toggle the map on and off once. Will fix it. Moveover is offset a little - opening map once fixes it.

You shouldn't have to delete WDB at all, it only contains data on the stuff you've seen, so it doesnt have to keep pulling data from the server. WTF would delete all your config stuff, but if it fixes Cosmos, delete it.

Hm, I have followed your guide to every point, but cosmos doesn't load at all, not even if I check "cosmos" in "addons".

I am being told that my directions only work if you are currently using Alpha version of Cosmos. Hope that helps.

Hm, I have followed your guide to every point, but cosmos doesn't load at all, not even if I check "cosmos" in "addons".There can't be any Dependency Missing messages either. Comos requires some other addons to function.
