Character Portraits have disappeared!! Any Help is Good!!

After the latest patch (1.30), I decided to try COSMOS after hearing excellent reviews from my GUILD members... anyways... ever since my COSMOS install, I've lost all my character portraits (which is on the upperleft hand corner) and all NPC or PC portraits when I click on them. I was wondering if you could help me with this. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling COSMOS as well as deleting the Interface folder in the WorlofWarcraft folder..

If this problem is not associated with COSMOS, please link me to the right place...

Maybe if I delete the WTF file?? otherwise I'm going to reinstall WoW completely.. thanks for all of your help...

as far as I know, your portrait is server side. It is not your problem, its the servers. Do not re-install WoW.

:shock: I've downloaded the repair tool from www.worldofwarcraft.com and wasn't able to complete the repair... I'm going to try deleting my cache files in the WTF folder... :?

i get this problem when servers are very laggy - especially on patch days.

it clears up eventually though. yesterday and today everything's back to normal.

This happens to me too, and I just cast a weapon buff, and my portrait re-appears. Not sure about the logic in that, but it works for me. *shrugs*
