yes, with the recent patch update sometime about two weeks ago, I have had a problem with trying to update cosmos. It seems like its stuck on stupid trying to download and redownload which leads infinite downloads. Its patcher version 2.14 trying to download "cosmos.txt". Its just trying to download until my face gets red, then blue, then adventually either I click that nice X button to turn it off, or pass out until my body takes over to breath again. I never had a problem with it updating before, but this is insane. If you have any idea or advice, please post the solution on this topic. Thank You for reading this!!

i'm having this same problem.

the patcher gets stuck on Cosmos.txt, which is, AFAICT, the first file, and therefore, Cosmos isnt updating at all :\

Odd. Have you looked in your WoW folder to see if there is a comos.txt or cosmos.txt.prepatch - if they are there try deleting those. It's just the patch notes so won't hurt cosmos in any way. All I can think of is a problem with replacing/overwriting those files so if they are gone, maybe it'll go through.

Yes I have tried deleating it all, and restarting it from scratch again. With still the same effect. (Pausing for the moment of insanity while starting to pull out hair) its frustraiting when something was ounce working, and working well, just stops working at all. :(

Well I'm stumped now. I just got home from work this morning at about 2 am, and I tried just for the hell of it, using cosmos again, but this time for some odd reason, it worked again :) I never had a problem with it before until what I stated in my first post. I dont think it was me, just some off the wall problem with either the connection to here, or on your end. If it was your end, well done for fixing it "thank you". If it was my ISP having issues, I need to kick there ass. If it was some off the wall reason (aka: idiots that dont know what there doing), they need a ass kicking.

Ounce again, thank you who eaver fixed it, eaven it wasnt you.

A new version of the patcher was released, there was a problem with it last night that Thott resolved. However I personally am still unable to download anything newer than r1299. Loading the patcher it goes through the steps including Patching Cosmos but no files are downloaded and then it says done. Using complete file check gets the same result. No errors are displayed it just doesn't update.
