mod plugin suggestion/reques for teamspeak raid and groups

I am looking for some programmers that could realise a confortable whish in WoW.

Teamspeak is the fastest and best way to communicate by online gaming. Its a important Part of most Gilds and Friends which plays together. But its that confortable like the ppl and Groups are. Specialy in Raid Groups with 40 Peoples it's a big request to all members to keep discipline in following orders, keep quiete at panic or just messing arround. Blizzard saw that Problem and splittet the maximum size of a Raid Group in 8 Sub-Groups. But how to Control 8 Groups at 5 ppl which all are in the same Voice-Chat ^^ Who is the leader ? who has organized that Raid. At that point you can easaly say, dont plan a Raid if you cant control it^^ Yes right...

My idea is just an improvement or inovation.

It could need a WoW Scripter and a Plugin coder for TS2. The Plugin should automaticly syncronise People on the Raid Group to the TS Server. The Script should support the Plugin to make the synchronisation. The script could also support some TS Commands like whisper to all subgroups or to group X or to mute all :p Yes could be done also by shortcuts defined by TS2. Or whats about a overlay ingame from the TS who is actually talking now.

Any one can start with it ?

dont tell me thats against the eula ^^ if you think like that, then turn off your Voice Control before you start playing WoW :D

I don't think what your asking is doable.

You want wow to beable to generate an overlay from a program that is running outside of WOW?

You can't bring information outside of wow into wow. Otherwise we could link to thotbot still and search from within game.

...but thats a unfinished hook and not what i am asking for. The overlay i am talking about, should be done by a WoW script as a additional feature under the main idea, synchronise somehow the raid groups to the TS Server....

How do you propose that the overlay would send information to the TS server when the WOW API won't let you?

Also, this would be against the EULA, as it would have to be using a 3rd party app to capture information processed in wow. And even though YOU might not care about the EULA, others do, including the Cosmos team.

Now by all means, if you find people to work on this, create it. But I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard would accuse you of hacking due to the nature of this plugin trying to work with an outside program.

the link you have provided shows a program that does not interfere in any way with wowo , even tho there is a screenshot showing extra information on wow screen, that program does NOT bring this information to wow*****, it only shows the speaker info from TS "over" wow***** game screen.

Event though the idea seems fine, for the time being best way to do it without violationg eula & tos is switch to windowed mode and arrange ppl in TS wen you fly to the instance for example.

As Logdan mentions, (even though it may be possible with debugging wow and finding a hook) there is absolutely no way to do what you ask,since
-no addon may send information outside of wow*****.

Do you like the idea to have the 40 ppl on the TS sortet, or otherwise controled without switching to the desktop ?

"that" way is known to me and many others as well, I have even played with it in the past, but as far as i know it still is against ToS. Knowing a thing and using it are diffferent things, sometimes you have to "know" enough not to use it.

if you want someone to make a mod for you that is against the ToS or EULA, i dont think the place is here, because cosmos team never supports that kind of attitude.

Teach your clan how to use Teamspeak hotkeys. Make 8 channels - have members move themselves into the correct chennal for their group. Speaking to the whole raid group can be done with a global send command from teamspeak to whisper to all 8 channels at once. Channel commander can also be used. The tools are available if you are willing to use them.
