I've been playing with someone who was using Cosmos since day one (at my recommendation, and I continually prod him to come back, but oh well), and I've been using something that I've taken for granted in Cosmos which no longer works when he doesn't use Cosmos.

Namely, the Pet Monitor features. I've been posting around and realize the reason for this is the owner must 'send' me pet info, I don't get to pull it.

Well, that part isn't so bad. I can have a mob targeted in a fight and 'hover' my mouse over the pet periodically to see how he's doing. What is difficult is targeting him for a spell, however. I can Shift-F2 to pick him up, but a) that's akward and b) it makes me lose my target, which I don't like.

So I was thinking, when you cast a spell and click on a party member's health window, they become the target of the spell. What if you 'shift-click' on that portrait and their 'pet' becomes the target of the spell? This would give us an easy way to target pets with spells in the fray without having to click directly on them or shift away from existing targets.

Or...is there already a way to do this in game easier, and I just don't know what it is? /shrug

or you could click the spell then hit Shift-F2.... doesn't change the target if you have a spell sellected.

Ok...see, I get so reliant on all the wonderful stuff you all write for us I overlook obvious mechanics in the game.

I don't suppose I could maybe make a macro button that does the shift-f2 for me? Shift-F2 is a hard thing for my hands to do. If I clicked a spell, then clicked my macro button that did the shift-f2...would that work?
