I'm no developer or anything - I don't know any scripting AT ALL - but I do know this:

Cosmos***** can be irritating.

The program is really useful and is certainly very well-made, I admit, but it has one fault: IT DELETES ALL MY NON-COSMOS ADDONS!

I checked the logs after I ran the application, and it reported "cleaning" all my extra, non-cosmos addons that I had downloaded and installed together with cosmos.

This is a very annoying feature, though I'm sure there are good reasons for having Cosmos***** "clean" the interface folder.

Perhaps the devs could modify the program so that it only cleans junk? It would make Cosmos***** a lot more useful, and would help it fulfill its potential for greatness.

Cosmos***** update:

- .nopatch files are now fully honored for directories. Before, a
directory.nopatch file would prevent that directory from being cleaned,
but not from being patched. Now it works for both. Additionally, you
can now create a file named "nopatch" and place it inside the directory,
i.e. "Interface\AddOns\MyAddOn\nopatch", and that directory will be
left alone.

also try the option where it doesn't clean the directory, lol

Lol... obviously didn't try hard to figure it out on my own, did I?
