What happened to speed % display?

In the timer cosmos used to display the speed you were traveling in relation to normal walk speed.

I really liked this because I could see how my speed is at different times with things like the Gahz'rilla carrot ect.

Also from destrimental affects I could test speed runs that way too.

Is this coming back?

Well it's not. Thank Blizzard for removing the function needed for calculating movement speed in the last patch. It's no longer possible which is why it's gone.

Interesting... I wonder if it works when using Eye of the Beast to calculate how fast your pet runs compared to your character.

It works.... but at times it goes wildly inaccurate. (3000% runspeed for example) It don't work in instances either, but for the most part it works well enough :)
