Improve Sky raid

Is it only me or don't you all think that sky raid is not one of the best raid UI mods? Right now I can only see the HP/MP on those that are in my group rest show as ?. Last night I even had a rogue in the raid that when I tried to target it got a unknown unit message. Maby I have missed somthing in the options.... but if not I would be very happy if this improves.

Then it would be good to have a Devine Blessing for raids.

I think you're talking about RaidMinion, right? And yes, (to borrow a phrase) RaidMinion is the second-worst raid UI mod ever. But all the others are tied for most worst, so I use RaidMinion. :-)

I can't even get the ones in my own group to show numbers or bars. Just "?" for the entire roster.

If it's the same error as the one I'm thinking of, that happens when the target is too far away from you.


Other than when it breaks completely, as above, I have no real complaints about RaidMinion. It's not quite as polished-looking as CT_RaidAssist, but RM is far, far easier to use (largely because it plugs into Sky, which ironically might actually be the cause of the problems). The only feature I'd like to see implemented in RM is one that I'm not sure it's even possible to do, so I can't whine about its absence. :-)

Note that at least ONE member of the Raid party group MUST have Cosmos with RM running and be joined to the SkyRaid channel in order to send information for the rest of the their party members - otherwise you see ? for everyone in that party. The same conditions apply to you as well (running cosmos, RM, and joined to the SkyRaid channel)

You can also see debuffs on RM tabs - right click the tab for options.

Yes - "unknown unit" happens with that player is too far away from you.

Yep, I'm aware of all that. Even when I myself am on the SkyRaid channel, sometimes I get ? for the entire raid roster, including my own party.

Have you tried typing /rm reset and then re-populating the tabs to see if that helps?

Actually, I've given up on RaidMinion. It's just too annoying to use (it doesn't notice duplicate people in the tabs, it flakes out and doesn't display my own group, anything goes wrong and I'm stuck with "/rm clear" and "/rm reset" and doing it all from scratch again).

In the 1.5.0 content patch, Blizz is adding raid party member information to the builtin unit names (like "target"), so both mods will have to be recoded to use the new interface. Hopefully, I pray, RaidMinion and CT_RaidAssist will become interoperable at that point. Gotta rewrite 'em both, seems like a great opportunity for some cooperation.
