When the Channel Manager plugin is enabled, the channel chat is no longer visible. ie. I can't see anything entered into General, LookingForGroup, etc. When I enter chat in those channels, others can see it, but I can't see it.
edit: I deleted the plugin to ensure that I had the latest version available and this did not fix the problem.
edit again: I edited this post to reflect the fact that the problem appears to be with Channel Manager, not Sky or SkyLight.

Try chekcing your filter menu on the chat tab to see what is suppossed to be visible.

Ok, I re-enabled everything, including sky, and now the chat is working properly again. I can't find the filter menu you are referring to. I know how to leave and join the channels if that is what you mean. I couldn't see the chat when I was a part of the channel. But if you could give me specific details on where to find this filter menu, I would be grateful.

Chat channel isn't working again when I have Sky enabled. Can someone tell me where the channel filter menu is, I can't find it.

Thanks, I don't seem to have that option, but there must be something I don't have activated. I'll try to find it...

Ok, I found those menus. Didn't know that you could right click on the tabs. However, having said that, I used /leave and /join that did the same thing. I had joined the channels, and now that I have checked the filters, they are not filtered. I could chat in them, but I couldn't see anything from them. As soon as I disabled the Sky addon, the problem went away. Thankfully my favourite addons aren't dependent on Sky...

Were you using the Sky or SkyLight?

Sky, I don't think I've ever seen SkyLight.

Karl, see? This is the exact same thing I'm getting. I've tried both Sky and SkyLight with the same results.

No. I don't see. Neither version has any means of blocking channels unless they are seen as a Sky channel. The logic for that function is fine. The only known ways to have hidden channels are either they are undead, they weren't properly joined or they aren't visible in that chat frame. There aren't any other possibilities that I know of and I've been breaking chat channels for months now just to figure out how they work.
On top of that the Sky in Cosmos is no longer fully supported, frankly I don't care if it doesn't work perfectly. If it doesn't work with SkyLight then you need to read all the available material and leave details as to how it works and what exactly doesn't work and what exactly you've tried. Saying you've tried Sky and SkyLight means nothing to me. Did you install one over the other or did you go through the recommended cleansing ritual first? Does it work without Sky at all? Did you delete your chat-cache? Did you delete it before or after you installed SkyLight? Did you say the magic words and wiggle your fingers while you pushed enter with your nose?
Honestly, it's a bunch of voodoo, but it's methodical. If you're using SkyLight and I know what the problem is I can tell you how to fix it. There's a 99% chance that I've already either seen the problem or experienced it myself. Otherwise disabling Sky will probably fix your problems. That is the easy way, but it doesn't help me any.
Make yourself knowledgeable before asking me, please...

Edit: Sorry if that was a little bitter... open source tech support is taxing....

Ok, exactly what is SkyLight, and where can I get it, and why isn't it autodownloading with Cosmos. I'm using the alpha build, but all that comes with it is Sky. I've tried deleting everything and letting Cosmos update, but it still downloads Sky.

It will not be a part of cosmos until Cosmos 2 because it will be easier to transition on a mass scale.

Using SkyLight, I still have the same problem, can't see chat in channels after I've joined.
edit: Actually it appears as though I was wrong. The problem isn't sky, it is the Channel Manager.
