Plain and simple, you cannot get the helth bar to display anything but a percentage of the target's helth. Even when you click off the option to display the helth bar in percentage. it is kind of annoying to see the mana/energy/rage bar as a nimber and the health bar as a persentage.

I second this motion. I have been all through the UI trying to play with options to get cosmos to display health as it did before this last big patch, but can only get it to display a percentage. This is very frustrating for a rogue.

I just figured out how to set up the options to fix this...
In Khaos options at top center, select the difficulty dropdown menu and choose 'developer'. Then in the options below, under the Combat category, check the box for 'MobHealth'. In the options to the right for MobHealth, check both the check boxes there. Then in the Archaeologist settings, scroll down to the Alternate Settings category and check the box for "Use MobHealth2 for Target health"
I just figured out how to set up the options to fix this...
Thanks for digging this one out.
I guess its probably fair to say this is a "workaround" as opposed to a "fix" (in other words this is still a bug that needs work at some point)...
Good to know I can get around it one way or another, though.

It's not a bug. It's functioning to the best of it's ability. unless you're targetting a member of your raid or party health value will always be in percent because that's all WoW gives you. However if you have mobhealth enabled and sellect the option to use mobhealth in arch. then it will use the estimated values when possible.
OK - I hadn't realised that the "old" behavior (in other words, what used to happen before I upgraded to Khaos recently) was simply an estimate of the target's health.
This probably explains why it used to jump around so much during an attack.

MobHealth parses combat log text and compares it to the percentage difference over time to estimate the current and total hit points of your target. It's useful on mobs that you fight a lot of and are identical in type and level. it's not so useful for bosses you only fight once or things that it doesn't have evough data to average from.
Thanks very much for explaining!
Working well now...
Cheers

that's when it's availible. Value is only avalible after you've hit it. otherwise it will use percentage.

What is so hard to understand? The information is not availible until you hit a mob and it makes an estimate as to the mob's total health based on the percentage it gets from the game and the damage done data.

correct. w/o MobHealth you cannot see health values for targeted mobs at all.

I have also the problem, that since I have installed the Cosmos UI I can't set my own health/mana bar to numbers it's shown only in percentage. But on group members I can see percentage an value.
If I click in the archälogist settings on show values than I get a help for presettings in the command line - but I don't know how to enter them correctrly to change this settings.
Can anybody help?
Thanks Guenther (RAHIR / Druide)

What language client are you using and are you using alpha or release?

I'm using the release version with the US English client and I'm also having a hard time figuring out how to toggle from the percentage of my own health and mana back to the numbers I had before.
Really I just want to know what my max health and mana are after leveling. If this were displayed on the Character screen I wouldn't mind the bars being displayed in percentages.
Ahh wait I see...I set the difficulty level to Developer and now I have a lot more options. I found the setting under Archeologist where I can change how the numbers for the health and mana bars appear. It's very apparent once the difficulty level is changed. Sorry to bother you with such a simple question! :)

Can't you use the presets to set numeric values nowadays? Or are those at a higher difficulty level too?

presets are lowest setting visible. not sure if they're in release.

Hi,
can copy a db of another person? for de MobHealt
i need help.. eburem@hotmail.com please
Yes you can. The MobInfo AddOn that Curse uses for tracking a Mobs health supports data import. The instructions on how to do this can be found in the "ReadMe.txt" file for MobInfo:
