Simple Answer: It's illegal and nearly impossible so stop asking.

No wonder the Alliance and Horde can't get along - we can't understand each other, except for a few gestures and not all of those are friendly :)

I just read about a program on another thread called XFire (http://www.xfire.com/) that one can use to chat with friends playing various games, including WoW. It doesn't run as part of Wow - just a seperate program that runs on top of your screen. It would let you chat with friends that are on other servers or even playing different games.

Note, I don't condone using this to chat between Alliance and Horde - particularly if you are trying to be a "spy."

There's also voice comm, like TeamSpeak, and many guilds use that for parties and raids, not to mention just socializing while playing. (Both of mine do.) And one can run those on a separate PC. Or one can even use (gasp) the telephone! (Then there's VOIP, so you can even use the telephone long distance for free if you have an account on one of the free VOIP services.)

note: xfire and soulseek don't play on the same machine.

don't know how they did it but, while I was logged in on the horde some NE yelled: "me lo ve u" so maybe there is a way to get around the code.

Please don't bring this up. He's just taking advantage of predictable letter combo table swaps. The output availible is very limitted and blizzard WILL dissable any popular mods made for cross faction comm and ban accouts.

Why do they even make it possible for this to happen? Why don't they just replace text with random garbage instead of using some sort of filter? This seems to be silly. If they didn't want people to speak cross-faction, why would they make it so easy?

All you have to do is use the emote system...

anything u type using the "/e" command will appear the way you typed it to alliance or horde

That only works while mind controlled.

off topic and rambling but I wish they would create a server where horde and alliance could group/communicate like how evil/good races did in Everquest. You would still be KOS in cities etc but for those of us more interested in having fun, socializing, etcthan in role-playing the Warcraft lore, this would be a great alternative. Sorry for babbling.

/e only works when mind controlled. Otherwise it shows up as

<name> makes an unknown gesture.
