In 1.7, you will be able to dynamically load and change the enabled/disabled state of AddOns.

Using the new Khaos gui, you will be able to change the enabled/disabled state of your addons without logging out. I'm still working out the details, but expect to find a list at the end of the Khaos configuration AddOn list which will show you all of your addons and their enabled/disabled state.

If an addon can be dynamically loaded, clicking on its checkbox will not automatically load it, but if you click on the title, a button prompting you to dynamically load it will appear.

Very likely next week. I did not get into the test server, so if its this week, I'll be in a bit of a panic. :-)

To be honest, patch 1.7 really has me worried.

Aside from all the dramas patch 1.7 is going to cause with Khaos, but with all the current issues Khaos has with mods like Totemstomper, CastOptions and the like, I am not looking forward to the weeks after when the patch goes live.

However there is nothing we can do, so I suppose we will just have to suck it up and take the flood of error message dialogue boxes I am going to be seeing. :(

I heard that Vin Diesel is the only one who can make cosmos work with 1.7

The Cosmos devs must be almost as skilled as Vin Diesel then! In our internal test version there isn't a single error message anymore at the moment. Of course, Blizzard will change something between going from test realm to live, and we will get the usual complaints on patch day. Then we will call for Vin Diesel when the torrent starts.

Just wondering...
Normally when you disable an addon, it's settings get removed from SavedVariables.lua on next save (I think). This probably wouldn't affect Khaos using addons, but what's the general behaviour for this in 1.7?
If I dynamically disable an addon, are the settings gone?

Only if an addon uses registerforsave to save the variables instead of the .toc will they not get saved. If the .toc is used the only way to lose the savedvars is to delete the addon, otherwise it is saved loaded or not.

It's you! YOU! who I got 'le sigh' from. Everytime I go to sigh I think 'le sigh' instead. Damn you, lol :P

I assume you got it from pepe le peu (don't know how to spell that cartoon characters name, haven't seen it in donkey's years).

Haha, welcome to my nightmare. yes, it's from pepe, and it's been what i hear in my head instead of a normal sigh also. it's been that way since high school, and the subsequent making fun of goth kids ;)
