Q: Where is the auto-join SkyParty option?
A: Right-click any of the quests in the PQ list. In the popup menu will be a checkable option.

I mainly use it for myself, and hardly for my party members. I like that it gives more overview of my quest list than blizzard's default.

I have not been able to get partyquests/libram to work since I don't know how long ago.... as far as suggestion putting QuestMinion back in would be a huge boon because it's a lot more useful than partyquest having all the things you need without the bugs you dont.
QM is huge for the new ZG class quests, and no blizzards version sucks.

Auto-joining skyparty is still in it.

Ok, I must have missed the option somewhere...not surprising. I love seeing "Yyyyy's quest progress: Morrowgrain 6/10" (or whatever)
PartyQuest's is the large quest window that replaces the old questpane? I vote yes then, I like to see all my quests at once. Also it remembers what I've hidden and what I've shown, unlike blizzards lists.
That's the only reason why I like it: Visuals. Dont use it for quest sharing.

I have this disabled because of an issue with my game freezing when I enable Libram.
I like the new quest window but Sky should not be needed to get quest info about other party members. This has been added in the UI so it should be accessible from the scripting language.
I don't use it for quest sharing either. Though most of my characters are 60 so it doesn't really affect me.

is the information about objectives/completion available to the UI now?

AFAIK the UI only shows on quests you have which party members have it too. Still might be useful to add this as an additional data source for PartyQuests, since it gives at least some data for party members not using sky+partyquests

when the partyquests fram is open, there are two tabs on top. click the one that says 'party' and if others are in your group you can see what they have and what is shared. furthermore, you can look at one of the quests they have (or that both of you have) and see the progress. if you don't have that quest, you can click 'share' to get it.
one of my characters is played exclusively with my girlfriend, and we are in love with this addon.

either way.. i have it turned off because libram used to crash my game and i haven't turned it back on to test it.

@navie: libram bug where fixed long time ago.
about sky, the reason why it's used it's to follow completion of quest.
ie: Flisher completed 7/10, then 8/10 or gathering some random bear pieces, in the system message.

Flisher, i was under the impression libram still caused crashes with multiple quests of the same name...

morbid_o, this unfortunately requires the other person to have PQ too. If only you are using PQ but others aren't, there is currently no way in PQ to see which quests are common between you and your party members. The default quest log does show that information. I agree that this should be added to PQ.

yes, I shold have clarified that, thanks. however, the person I group with most has PQ and I luuuurve it.

Waste as no one seems to use sky.

Most high levels in my guild use Cosmos. But indeed, the primary target of this addon is only useful if the people you work with often also use PQ/sky.
I still like the quest display like this even when solo.
This one is a great Minimap space saver and very intuitive. Couldn't get any better :)

I have been using this addon up until today. But recently I've been annoyed by Sky. When I logout and forget to leave a raid, next time I login, Sky claims the first channel, then all my other channels go up one in number. Also, custom colours for channels are linked to the channel number, not the channel name, thus all my channel colours are out of whack too.
I refuse to use Sky any longer. PartyQuests was the only addon I had remaining that used it. Bye Sky. Bye PartyQuests till it is updated and Dependancy on Sky is removed.

Any way to remove the Sky dependency? I love partyquests, but sometimes sky seems to think it owns the /1 channel slot that General chat usually gets. Which is why both are off my system right now

Blizzards channel handling is semi bugged now, when you get disconnected it goes 'ape' and skip /1 moving general to /2, so FlagRSP, Sky and others with 'hidden' channels will eat that /1 spot accidently.
There is no way to remove Sky dependency, Sky is the reason PQ can share data at all. It's totally pointless to move the Sky functionality into PQ, since then PQ would just steal your /1 spot.

some people (not me, I like the sky part) just like the looks of the questlog better, but if you made sky optional yoiu might have to call it QuestLogEnhanced or something....

I also like the Sky part.
Would it be possible to restrict Sky from trying to use the low channel numbers?

i would like to use PQ without using cosmos at all. what is the slash command to enable it, or how can i link it to a hotkey? i have searched the keybindings and do not see it there. the mod itself as well as all dependencies are installed without problems.
thanks!

PartyQuests depends on Chronos, Sea, Libram and Sky, thats pretty much the core libraries of Cosmos, so I haven't even tested if you can install it without the Khaos/Cosmos menu.
It does have a keybinding.

yes, i have all dependencies installed, but i cannot find PQ in the keybinding list.
anyone have a suggestion or two? thanks.

You should have a section : Party Quest Keys with one Toggle Party Quests entry.

03-23-2006, 09:07 PM
okay, i actually had to enable khaos before Party Quests would appear in the keybinding list. after disabling Khaos, Party Quests still retains its entry in keybindings and i'm able to use Party Quests stand-alone.
yay!

Hmm, strange, I will have to check if we have some unintentional Khaos dependency for the keybinding.

it should be noted also that i receive an error while using PQ by itself... it appears to be non-fatal tho, so it's no big deal. i'm too lazy to log in atm and check out exactly what it is... just thought i'd give you the heads-up.
my last post here... PQ rocks, man!

PartyQuests next patch should be made into a standard Addon with no dependencies that every UI compilation there is should have included.

I dont like the new version,
it has reverted back to the blizz window with a party button at the bottom to access, the problem is you cannot see all your quests in the top window whereas in the pq window you can see them all and instantly see which quests you need to do next before they go grey on you.
can someone please allow a toggle to show the partyquest window in preference over the blizz quest window?
