Cosmos Release/Alpha patch 1.10 compatible

We are happy to announce that Cosmos is ready for patch 1.10! You can get the latest Release version (or any other distribution of your choice) via the patcher application, or from our Download Page (http://www.cosmosui.org/index.php?p=download). See this link for a List of Changes (http://www.cosmosui.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14266) to the Release version.

As we made a lot of changes, please back up your Interface folder before you run the patcher application or download a new version, if you want to keep a copy of the old version. Once you update your Cosmos files, you will not be able to get an old version.

Please bear in mind that as usual, a WoW patch brings a lot of changes and therefore there may be bugs in Cosmos as a result. If you encounter any, report them on our forums and we will fix them as soon as possible.

Update 4/2/2006: We have made a new Release version available, which includes a large number of bug fixes applied since 1.10 went live.

Two quick questions.
1. Is it only saying that to me because it detects my cosmos? Or is it a general system wide message to everyone.

2. Is it just Blizzards way of trying to scare people off of using cosmos, or has anyone even identified a problem in WoW caused by cosmos?

It's system wide to anyone who logs in with addons I believe. Basicly, if you're having problems dissable your addons before complaining to a GM kinda thing.

Both, Thottbot and Arcane Bar are spitting out errors. I don't use any other addons, just Cosmos. Thottbot complains about "bbbbbbbbbbbbb" and Arcane Bar about something else (sorry, can remember). On the map (M), the bottom coordinates are duplicated (one set falls on top of the other).

I have seen some other errors, but some show up under different users. I have tried all classes (but rogues and warriors) and found at least one error on each.

I have a LOT of the individual addons disabled within cosmos, and so my usage is no doubt simplistic, but I was nevertheless impressed that you guys had a working version on the same day as 1.10. I haven't noticed any bugs yet, and I really like some of the new additions (such as the mob tooltips).

I keep getting a message that tells me that my UI is using more than 48 Megs of memory and that I have to disable stuff and shut it down.


Is anyone else having this problem?

That's normal for a full Cosmos install. On the AddOns screen from your login, change the 48 to 64.

loaded Cosmos_Release and put files in Addon Folder ... All my CTRaid stuff works but my favorite Cosmos is ALL DISABLED.

No All in One bag Grrrr
No Arcane Bar GRRRR
No Cooldown Countdown (CT Version has this teeny tiny number that you have to squint to see)
No Quest Options....

No Cosmos is really affecting my play. OK so I've been spoiled by Cosmos for over a year.

Is this part of Cosmos? It started happening right after the 1.10 patch. I deleted all my addons and did a fresh install of Cosmos (the one that is 1.10 compatible) and this error throws when I logon, and when I make any changes using the Khaos configuration dialog.

It's very annoying, but what am I gonna do? Stop using Cosmos? I don't think so. =)

I also get a thottbot error upon login.

And I'm not sure if its cosmos related, or something on blizzards end, but my guild message of the day no longer shows on login, and I cant type in any custom channels (but i can read what is said in them). And for some reason I am in the trade channel everywhere, not just cities. lol stupid patch.

The Arcane party bar bugs come up every time it tries to index using sea. So is the bug in party bars or is it in Sea? Worse yet is Blizz tring to take away our ability to index anything? :/

Also noted probelms with the earth library. So maybe the probelm is in global calls.

Every time wenn i do Aimd shot he stands still with his bow next to him, normall he spans that bow to release that shot, same with Volley :(

And sometime's my autoshooting is bugged 2, so my hunter pull bow you hear a sound than pull again with the same sound than shoot, do not know if this addone.

If some know wich addons i must disable or remove let me know ASAP please!

After installing the Cosmos for patch 1.10, I have been having the #132 crashing every time I log out any characters. I deleted the AddOns folder and restarted the game without any addons, and I received no errors logging off a character. Then I re-installed Cosmos so that I was using only Cosmos without other addons that I use, and I resumed crashing every time I log out. I also downloaded the latest alpha version 3368, as well as the release version, and they both also crashes my WoW.

Does anybody else have the same problems as I do?

Hey guys,
I just loaded the Mac_Cosmos UI and it looks pretty got. I did notice however that when I go to click on a mob after a kill, it will not pop up with a window with the Loot. If I shift-click, I can get the loot but no with just a click. It was working fine before I loaded the UI so I assume that it has something to do with the install. Besides that, I have not had any problems. Thanks,

I disabled Sea, and I no longer have the #132 error and crash out of WoW when I log out any characters. The question is if the addons that depend on Sea are still loaded if Sea was disabled? Right now, there are 18 addons that I use everyday that depends on Sea.

I downloaded the newest alpha because the notes said that you guys did something to Sea since my last post. Well, I'm still crashing whenever I log out.

Edit: Okay I disabled the mods that are dependent on Sea one-by-one, and finally found out that it was the Social Mod that's causing the crashes.

The new Reputations update came out and my wow crashes every time I log out...Cant talk to NPCS and my WOW fezzes when i log in! I love cosmos and I really dislike playing with out it! PLZZ fix this as soon as you can!

i got a prob with my cosmos ui, when i log on wow i cant talk to any npc and cant use any mailbox, cant talk to any griffon master

seems like my right mouse button isnt working when trying to talk to npc's

if i turn my cosmos ui off it works !!!

Cosmos didn't just start doing strange things out of the blue. It was working prior to the release of 1.10.1. In their patch notes for 1.10.1, Blizzard noted changes to the way addons are handled, and that clearly borked some Cosmos components. Blizz made changes that broke Cosmos, not the other way around.

In good news, the Cosmos team has been working on the problems that were introduced, and the alphas are working much better. You could try the latest alpha.

I also have had this issue and turning taklebox off does not solve the problem for me. Quite frustrating as all other parts of the mod work. :cry:

I have the same right button problem. I can still use it to navigate, but not to interact. The tacklebox is disabled, as is most of Cosmos.

i found that when i had updated the version of cosmos that i had for wow, it would no longer allow me to access the mailbox's anywhere on the game so i had to uninstall it and delete anything to do with it from my wow folder for it to begin workig properly again :( any clues?
