Dormlock,

I've been using the Mac patcher since you released the first version here and it's been working great. But... <smile>

Today I downloaded the new version and I have been experiencing problems with the "Never Update" feature. I use a different version of ShardTracker than is included with Cosmos. I therefore have it protected (.nopatch file, listed as protected in the patcher app, etc.). However, this new version insists on overwriting my version. I have to manually un-check the checkbox on the left-hand side and the "NU" (never-update) checkbox always pops up unchecked even though I check it every time.

Help me figure out what I'm doing wrong with this new version.

Thanks!

I'm seeing the same thing on the Windows version. I'm rather anal about unwanted files on my computer, so I not only have the Cosmos mods I don't use disabled, I don't have them installed in the AddOn folder at all. Every time I run the patcher, I uncheck them all and check the NU box, and the next time I run it it forgets I ever did that.

I have the same issue with the Damage Meter. I want the latest version from the website, but Cosmos patcher keeps overwriting it with the older version. How do I make cosmos NEVER update this addon? I'm using 3.8(0)

Same problem here. Still using the old version of the Patcher. Please fix it :<

which method of nopatch or never update are you guys using. Are you using the consolidated method or the individual nopatch files.

Fixed in v3.9.1. The problem was with the IsProtected function when it checked the path for the file. I wasn't rebuilding the path like I should have been.

Latest patcher (downloaded 20 minutes ago) is ignoring my nopatch files and the never update option, and installing them anyway.

On top of that, when I try to chek the box next to an addon in the manager so I can click the uninstall addon button, the button is disabled, so I cant uninstall it/them.

The end result of both problems is, I keep getting unwanted cosmos addons downloaded and installed whenever I run the patcher, that I cannot get rid of.

I fixed this problem by doing this:

1. With cosmos not running, find and delete the "C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxxxxxxx\Application Data\Cosmos Prefs" file.

2. Find and delete anything that says nopatch in the Wow Interface folder, and all subfolders

3. Start Cosmos, it will act like a new install, so configure to taste (I left things on defaults, and set the "protect non-cosmos" option.

And then its happy again.

I bet that there was a change in the Prefs file somewhere along the way that didn't get figured into the latest version.

Good luck.
