Sorry there hasn't been any updates to the patcher and my disapperance for the last month. I was working on a project that took all my extra free time to get done as fast as possible. It's now complete and I will be devoting the next two weeks to getting a new version out that is well tested before it's released.
I'm also going to work on threading the checking code to speed up the file checking process. I'll also finish the setup wizard and add an importer for Thotts regisrty settings. I'll be removing the rollback code for now as I want to implement something where you can set restore points like in windows and restore to that point. I'll also be adding something to create something of a customized update list where you can create your own local distribution list.
If you'd like to see something added list it here as well as anything you see broken. I'll be scouring the forums to identify all the problems but i'll be nice to have them all in one post as well.

Thottbot uploading appears to be broken in the current version.

Also, everytime I go to check off "consolidate protection files" in Cosmos II the program just freezes up. No clue why, no unhandled exception, just locks up solid.
p.s. hope your project went well!

The MAC version could definitely use some work... I know of several MAC users who have been unable to use COSMOS since the new WOW patch. All the MAC users seem to be getting stuck in the same location--so it seems the hangup is not in our individual systems, but in the patcher.
You can see the discussion in the Support Forums under the patcher discussion section.

If it helps at all, it works on my G5 running 10.3.9
And would you please not spell Mac in all caps. Note http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC vs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac
Just a pet peeve of mine..

Cosmos AddOns moved to a new location are not deleted from the old location as they appear to still be Cosmos AddOns. The patcher needs to verify paths if possible when checking for AddOns to delete.

Thanks, I've been refraining from saying the same thing myself ;)

No, that doesn't help. Having some instruction for Mac (notice I didn't spell it with all caps this time) would.

Hey, is there any update on the status on this. Im not being pushy at all, I know debugging takes awhile and it can be rough stuff somtimes. But should we expect it soon or is it still in progress? No rush! :D
Edit: Cant spell for s*** lol

Hey, right on, Dormlock!
I just want to say how excited I am by the patcher app, and how impressed I am with all the additional management features you've implemented. It's becoming a fantastic tool, and I look forward to its completion.
My only request is that you solicit feedback from potential beta testers with diverse hardware/software configurations prior to release. I'm not even volunteering (although I would), but a small number of people with various Windows and Mac (PPC and Intel) configurations who did some testing for you could probably help ID bugs, provide error reports, and proactively reduce the flaming that occurs in these forums.
Cause flaming one guy who is working by himself for the good of a community ain't cool, and we all know it. But some people ... they forget.
Anyway, thanks for your hard work and the fantastic results. I, like many others, eagerly await the finished product.
