View Full Version : Diablo II-alike health/mana display
Hey guys, this is my first post. To make this intro short, basicly...great site, awesome UI, thanks for the effort, very good product. Now here's my 2 cents: basicly it's ike this, I have a 17'' widescreen Dell E1705 with maxed out resolution...so the health/mana bars are a b*tch to read, then I logged into Diablo II and was amazed how much more comfortable their UI is in that aspect. To sum this up, I'm suggesting (if possible of course) for you guys to design a D2-alike health/mana UI display. :)
Server: Thunderlord (PvP)
Char: LanX (Undead Mage, 30)

like http://www.discordmods.com/CustomPackages/LozDiablo2.jpg ?
there are a few at http://www.discordmods.com/cgi-bin/customlayouts.pl?mod=packages
for the most part, discord mods get along well with cosmos addons
smiley/frowny faces are buffs/debuff (placeholders, which is why EVERYTHINg is showing there)
Awesome! Thanks man! But before I download it, would you happen to know if I can disable those smileys...they ruin the UI imho.

like i said, they are placeholders. you don't see them when you aren't moving things around.
they show when you have the Discord options open so that you can visualize where your buffs and debuffs go. many people post their UI shots because it's easier to show a SS with placeholder graphics than to go and get raid buffed, start combat, get debuffed, show pics with and without group leader icons, etc.
the diablo spheres are actually used by a number of layouts, but that one is actually the author's layout. you might find other ones if you watch the Blizzard UI forums, or the custom layouts section on that site
