Cosmos Release for 1.11

Cosmos is now compatible with WoW patch 1.11, we have updated all distributions (including Release and Alpha). As always, things can break with a major WoW patch, so please report any issues you find on our forums.

Update 21/06/2006: EU is now getting patched as well. EU users can go ahead and update their Cosmos too.

Note: EU users should not update their Cosmos files until the patch arrives in the EU too. The new distributions are not compatible with 1.10.

That's great and all. But don't expect everyone to read the page everyday, like me. I am on europe and cosmos automatically updated it for me. I cannot use cosmos now and I can't find the old cosmos and all the addons anywhere else.

So it was very bad way to do it... sorry.

Ok, I must be real stupid because I can't figure out how to get back my add-ons after this patch 1.11? Please help the stupid people too :?

alright.. so i have cosmos.. and after the new WoW patch this morning i didn't have cosmos loaded.. i just loaded the out of date addons and tried to look at my quest log... but i can't seem to get to it.. the log itself opens up.. but there are no quests in it. i don't know what happened or what to do. cans omeone please help? thanks.

At least I'm not the only one experiencing problems. I DL'd the patch for WoW and Cosmos - all addons still read as "Out of Date" and when I told it to load them anyway I was getting error messages left and right with everything I did, right down to taking a step ingame.

I installed the new ones and got the same thing, my questlog is empty! Also when I use the /tloc feature and look at my map the little dot isnt there.

Looks like it's not a small problem, I'm missing my quests in my quest log as well.

ok so i had the same problem guys, wat i did was went to the dl's page and redownloaded cosmos alpha, then i copy and pasted all thos updated files over my old ones in my /addons dir. this worked, i got my quests to show and it didn't say everything was outdated

When I use all in one inventory I can't move the backpack window to adjust it's position. Does anyone know how it can be solved?

ok i have a problem as well Someone helped me get everything back by clicking on the addons on the place where u sign in the char page. But I still cant move the inventory as well and its in the way . Need help to move the inventory away from my keys HELP

If you are using the patcher, don't bother with the download page, just update from the patcher.
If you wish to download the zip archive go to http://www.cosmosui.org/index.php?p=download and download them there. (You may need to scroll a little bit down past the patcher downloads) They are recent.

I used both of these methods to get my Cosmos back up and running. I had to completely uninstall Cosmos from my system, restart the game addon-free and then reinstall Cosmos fresh. Now I seem to have everything back up and running, Thanks for the tips.[/quote]

The minimap mininotes arent working. Whenever I log into my character it gives a window with red words that say:

Interface/addons/mapnotes/mapnotesdropdownmenu.iua: 17: attempt to index a nil value

I can just push ok to get rid of that, but whenever i try to turn on a mininote it makes the same window that doesnt go away until i turn off the mininote

I am able to download those 40kB you initially download when you install cosmos for the very first time. But then when it wants the 5MB, it doesn't download anything. I get the error message about no communication with the server.

Im stil have problems with the questbox and the Tloc functions. I have uninstal the ccosmos, and reinstall it again. But the problems are still there. Do anyone have problems that im having ??

I have troubles with the questbox too and my /tloc doesn't show the red dot anymore. I have dl the Release one. Should I dl Alpha?

This soooooooooo STINKS!:( I too have had the problem with the quest log. I did as others here have suggested, I managed to get my log back for all of one hour then wham, it's gone again :( I hate this new patch it has made my game play go from all evenings & all weekends to hardly at all since the patch...If I am not getting LAGGED to death I am getting DISCOUNTED. :roll:

I must be real stupid or something more here is going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I didn't quite understand the one instructions of copying & pasteing, needed more details of where to located this area. :oops:

Don't feel too bad-I cant get the patch, alpha, exec or release files to download let alone screw up my gaming-the zipped files all say "corrupted"- what is going on?

As soon as I load Cosmos, I continously disconnect from the server immediately after logging in. If I remove the addins, I'm alright. My partner's also had the quest issue and after disabling the addins, its fine. :oops:

I am having the same problem...I log in, then get logged back out. Change the interface folder back to normal and it works. Have you found the solution yet?

i get this same problem. i figured out that if you disable sky. it works fine. there are still other cosmos addons that will still work but anything that is dependent on sky won't. now as far as seeing when sky will be fixed or they will release another alpha or release version i dont know but this is the only thing i can do to make this work.

I also disabled sky and that fixed the quest issue for me.

Thanks Chduke, that's worked for me too. although sadly, it looks as though Sky's connected to the way the quests look and that was one of my favourite functions of Cosmos, the ability to view the objectives of quests on the main screen.
