Cosmos Release has been updated to revision r3921

We've also added a Test Server 1.12 distro availible through the patcher, just set your wow directory to the WoW/WoWTest directory. This version has a new addon Telepathy, written from scratch with 1.12 SendAddonMessage in mind, which replaces Sky. Tell us what you think. And beware: Alpha changes are often more frequent than the test server branch.

We're also experimenting with a new patcher download system and added windows and mac patcher distros which just contain the patcher. There's nothing new there currently.

We have also added a "Khaos Only" distro which contains its required deps Sea, Chronos and Earth.

Enjoy!

Will the patcher update cosmos to the latest release ?
Just tried it and it didn't :?

It should. If you have it set to release.

How do we know it has been updated to revision r3921 ?

My Patcher Help shows as Cosmos v3.9(6)
My Cosmos***** shows as 3.9.6.158 dated 31/03/2006

The only things that seems to have been updated recently are :
Cosmos Changelog.txt
Cosmos_Readme.txt

Oh, and yes, it is set to release.

Is this question so hard to answer ?

There is no simple way, if you have it set to Release, it is updating.

If you really want to dig into it:
You can read the changelog on the site http://www.cosmosui.org/index.php?p=changes&f=Cosmos_Release
See that the on of the last commits was [EquipCompare] Version 2.9.7
Open EquipCompare.lua and see that you have Version: 2.9.7

The r#### on the patcher is currently inaccurate and the changelog is not updating for the patcher, view the site changelog for details. All files are correct and updating. There is no ETA when the patcher changelog will be fixed, I hope all this info helps, not sure it changes anything.

Thanks Gryphon for the reply.
I didn't realise it was so hard - maybe you could make it easier
Anyway, at least now I can check my version - thanks.

Oh, btw, followed you instructions, and all looks good - my version is up to at least r3984 :)
