Cosmos Release has finally been updated to revision r4472

We're sorry for the long wait, but as you probably know WoW 2.0 required all addons to be updated and made many of our favorite ones impossible to re-implement. The Cosmos Team has been slaving away for months, since the Burning Crusade Alpha, to update all of these addons and get them in working order.

Unfortunately, we've lost a lot of man power over the past year, as well as some crucial authors. I'd like to take a minute to thank Mugendai for all his hard work and many hours of dedication, we're missing him now. His CastOptions and LookLock and TackleBox have been completely broken. His BuffOptions has been patched together by people on the forums. His VisibilityOptions, BarOptions and PopBar are all in critical condition and in need of fresh maintainers.

We've had to drop over a dozen addons for various reasons. There are also a half dozen addons that are currently either severely bugged or cause 'Blocked' messages due to new Blizzard restrictions. These are available in the Alpha Distro, but in order to make the Release Distro more user friendly we have left these addons un-updated and they should say "Incompatible" on the AddOn screen.

On the positive side, we are very happy to welcome AtlasLoot author Daviesh and TasteTheNaimbow author Guillotine to the Cosmos Team. We hope you enjoy their addons and take the time to express your welcome and any comments you may have.

Remember: If you don't use an addon, you can always disable it at the AddOn screen (from the character select screen, when you log in).

Umm, it's still r4250 of 11200 on the downloads page for release. Kinda wish I paid attention to that before overwritting all the alpha files that were in there xo

So does this mean we should still use the Alpha or can we revert to the stable release distro?

Release should be ok next 40 minutes from this posting. There was a mistake in the packing script that was causing it to fail the build.

For some reason (Garona Server) the following addons do not want to work for me. If I have them active I cannot feed my pet. (Cosmos: Recommended - r4473)

Chronos
Sea
Thottbot

I also have GroupCalendar, and ZHunter addons running (and were not giving issues prior to r4473 release - even Cosmos Alpha Distro is glitching)

Ideas, suggestions?

I have the same issue there are two work arounds.

1) put a frequently used food in an action bar then feed from there

2) right click on a food instead of left clicking on it (not sure why this works but it does for me anyway)

I used both of these methodes on my hunter and it works fine

Have received the same errors several times in the last few days. Don't know if that helps respective maintainers..
Garona-Alliance, r4473, english - let me know if you need more details.[/code]

I did attempt your second suggestion and that seems to work well enough for me. Thanks for the tip!

Hello, I hope someone can give me some suggestions. On my lvl 18 hunter the pet bar dissapeared after I installed the 12/20/06 alpha release. But on my 49 and 28 hunters it is still there. It is possible I unintentionally hit a keyboard shortcut and hid it. Thx for any help.

AIOI is not included in the release as it is currently broken (you can only get it via the alpha release) as per the list here :

Where do things stand as of today on the possible completion of Cosmos? I've had a lot of understandable problems using it, and a few odd ones when trying to play without it, like all my bags being totally broken in my UI when I diasable everything. Who knew playing without Cosmos would be even more difficult than just playing with it partially broken? :P

The problem is a lot of bugs are Blizzard side and will not be fixed until expansion day. On top of that, it is Christmas time, so understandably mod authors are not as frequent with updates as they usually are.

...on the web?

Is he still doing PowerBar, for example? Is this him, for example: http://dl.qj.net/World-of-Warcraft-PowerBar-0.1-PC-Gaming-MMORPG-World-of-Warcraft-UI-Mods/pg/12/fid/2604/catid/283

If not, has anyone found a suitable replacement that isn't bongo bar or: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info6624-PopBar2.0.html
