Mapnotes: where is the info stored

I would like to know where mapnotes stores it's info so that I can keep my notes and give them to my friends. Couldn't find recently altered files in the interface folder:S.

As a recent Cosmos user should I backup the entire SavedVariables folder?

I have been using it for a while now but recently had to reinstall WoW and Cosmos. As a consequence I appear to have lost all the blue dots on my maps :(

Any advice would be appreciated.

I tend to backup my whole WTF folder just in case there is anything in there I want.
