Status and need for QuickLoot

Hey all,

I have a version of QuickLoot that I wrote some time back that my friends and I have been using. All it does it do smart positioning of the loot window when the player has opted to open the loot window at the mouse and it automatically closes the loot window when the monster has no loot to get. According to FalconSpirit's add-on tracking thread, QuickLoot is broken. Is anyone planning on fixing Quickloot? Do people want this functionality? Are you all using other add-ons that do this for you? I can upload my version to the websites if people are interested.

The only real issue with the add-on is that I have done minimal testing with monsters that drop multiple pages of loot. I just can't find any monsters that drop multiple pages of loot that are not being master looted!

Anyway, let me know what you all think. Personally, I don't use the open loot window at mouse feature, but my friends do. I DO like that empty loot windows close automatically, however.

I stopped using Quickloot a while ago, and later started using Xloot which handled the things Quickloot did as well as make things look fancy. (I've since stopped using Xloot again - it works fine, but I've been trying to lower my memory requirements where I can).

Back to using the normal loot system, I haven't had an empty loot window come up in several months now. As I run over 150 addons currently, I'm not positive this isn't the result of some other addon I might be using, although none that I know of affect the loot window, but the main reason for me running in the first place (empty loot windows) seems to have disappeared. Can anyone say if this is a change in the WoW client itself? If not, it must be one of my other addons, or maybe because I have the game set on autoloot by default.

As for Quickloot being broken, I haven't tested it myself, but I was going on the report made later in the same thread saying it wasn't working.

Yarko, I use QuickLoot and like it. I don't have any issues with the ancient one on 3.1, it all seems to work fine for me currently. If it breaks in 3.2, though, would love to see you post your update.
